VOIP in the meetinghouse

[Admin note: Discussion moved from the When are units getting WiFi? thread. I'm also hoping that in the future we change over to VOIP phone lines. Since we are installing out network equipment in the phone rooms this should be an easy upgrade. The church sure would save a ton of money using VOIP lin...

Tithing Electronic Payments to SLC not showing in local report

We have members that basically do everything electronically; they no longer use checks. As such they now contribute directly to SLC through electronic transfers. The problem is that MLS is not showing that they have ever made a donation. The belief was that these transfers would eventually show up a...

aclawson, Many years back I was the YSA Rep for Westland, just after my return from my mission. I attended many YSA activities at the Bloomfield Stake Center. I also remember that old Greek Orthodox building the church took over. Does it still have solid glass doors to the gym and those original pew...

As for your computer specs I'm guessing you meant 4 gig of memory not 4 meg. 4 meg of memory would be choking all the time. Installing Internet and WIFI in the building is a big task. The FM groups do not have the budget to have it installed professionally, by outside paid contractors, and are therefore looking for motivated and technically advanced members with general construction knowledge to volunteer and help with t...

Interesting response about the software, our Clerk's office has has Microsoft Office installed on it for as long as I can remember. I think we have the XP enterprise office suit on it currently. The software is owned by the ward and the original box and CDs are in the clerk's closet in case we repla...

Take a look at this part. Takes a coax connection (RG6) and converts it to RCA (male) to plug into you projector. I'm assuming that you are just using the coax as a shielded video run from one location to another.

I've worked on the Beta Testing team for the Roku device. We streamed General Conference as well as the encrypted Priesthood sessions using our secured and authorized Roku boxes. Roku performed well using these live broadcasts and the equipment needed to use it was: Roku box, Projector, and the crab...
