Just saw the new curriculum, also. It's beautiful! Seems to be a good fusion of tailor-able lesson material for the advisors, Duty to God focus areas, youth participating in the teaching/learing experience, and mission preparation. The roll-out is cleverly synchronized with deployment of the new age...

Given the nature of your effort to help people register, I would ask the Bishop for permission to have the Ward Clerk run a special report with MRN and Confirmation date for the members, and print it for your Web Administrator files. Seeing that you are the Exec Sec, you already have received traini...

The chapel next door to the Boston temple has a floor-retractable screen that tucks below the rostrum. It was designed primarily to allow for a screen without interfering with the pipe organ behind the pulpit. To operate, you remove some floor panels, then switch on the actuator that lifts the scree...

...Except not all youth are in town on their birthdays (summer months), some youth join the church during their teen years, and some youth have periods of their life where attending the temple isn't automatic, making them out of synch with the birthday assumption or list. Tracking would be nice, but...

Well, considering that in CDOL I can see the historical information for my ward (Stake realignments back to origination of the ward, list of bishops dating back to the last stake realignment), one way would be to contact the current bishop or clerk of that ward and have them retrieve the information...

I noticed sign in errors and even page rendering errors all weekend, too. Instead of getting the normal, once I sign in I have been getting a white background, text only rendering of the page in outline form. (This is when using a netbook with WindowsXP, Chrome browser) Switching to a recent...

... in helping to lessen the Bishop's burden, it is very helpful in allowing me to "get to know" the member quickly and to look for opportunities to make connections either myself or by assignment to ward members. Great point. In the context of interviews and casual conversation, members ...

Seems like I remember instructions to not post the time/locations of youth activities on the ward general information page, at very least. Our ward is trending toward more privacy than more broadcasting, for the sake of controlling what is actually being sent to the general public. For what it's wor...
