I'm still trying to see where in the Handbooks what jaj78 described (which sounds good) would be authorized as an appropriate activity per the Handbook, assuming as we are that if the Handbook doesn't specifically cover it and allow it, that it is not authorized to do. I'll admit that in the ideal ...

It is interesting, the counselors have also been removed from access to the member record ,and also the IOS. There is at least one reference to a clerk or a bishopric member reviewing the ios once a year with the family, i suspect well see some additional changes. Oh, no! This is going to be pretty...

I guess the key is what is the web presence purporting to do. A handful of people in our ward created a private ward Facebook group (that anyone can be invited to) where folks can post notes to their lessons, ask if Mutual is cancelled, make reminders about the ward activity, solicit for a substitut...

I don't think there is a specific "trigger" beyond send/receive that you can pull. Outside of that, there is just a bit of patience and a black-box that does the magic. After a week, I'm surprised they aren't synched yet.

aebrown hits the point. Hierarchy is a construct that mostly satisfies pride, though we do have to have an organized structure. In the end, God is not a respecter of persons, even within His own organization. So there's not much need to create a boat, just to discover opportunities to rock the boat....

Our ward has pretty heavy electronics consumption each Sunday. Tablets and smartphones abound. Two Black Friday's ago, our Bishop authorized the purchase of a couple of 32" LCD TVs with DVD in-built, and had the FM group haul the old CRTs away. So with two TVs with VGA connection and one projector, ...

I was checking in from a Linux machine at work where I don't have install privileges, so it's a "you get what you get" scene as far as what browsers are preloaded. I don't have an expectation of backward compatibility, but Firefox 3.6.18 was only from 2011-06-21 . For now, I'll stick with Chrome whe...

Submit Feedback link dead

And the within-page feedback link is dead perhaps? Before coming here, I tried to submit feedback through the member-news page, and it choked. (Chrome, entered all the fields, clicked "Submit" and it churned and churned before dying)

Seems like this should be akin to the Calendar moderators, where auxiliaries are by default attached to their newsletter pages by position, and administrators can add other named users.
