Re: Auditor's records

The audit question specifically instructs the auditor that if the amount shown in the church's financial systems is less than in the ward records then it could be because of a returned check. It instructs the auditor to reconcile the difference by looking for adjustments in the Unit Financial Statem...

Re: Gift Cards Reimbursement Queston

Our stake was recently told by our assistant area auditor that they had asked the church Auditing Department about gift cards (from questions raised in previous audits--not in response to this thread) and that they confirmed the church doesn't have a specific written policy on gift cards but said th...

Re: MLS - Run as Administrator

I always had the popup when I ran it. As far as I know it requires administrator privileges so that it can update itself. The only way I know of to remove the popup is to lower the UAC settings so that the popup is never needed for any program. But I don't recommend that. You can change the properti...

Re: How do I clear errors

I haven't done a membership audit recently and I don't have access now, but it used to show you all the members who did not meet the criteria and ask you to mark any who have been ordained and haven't been recorded. If you don't mark anything then there is no audit exception. So it doesn't expect ev...

Re: Any way to edit an address through churchofjesuschrist.org?

I recently updated my location with the drag and drop system on maps but it was obvious that this is not an accepted way of updating your address The drag and drop system doesn't actually change your address. It just changes the geographic coordinates the church associates with your address. You'll...

Re: Gift Cards Reimbursement Queston

is not appropriate under the rule the fast offerings expenses should generally be paid to providers and not recipients Sorry to take this off-topic from the OP, but I would have thought that gift cards for Fast Offering recipients would be ok under what you cite, given that the provider (gas statio...

Re: Can't log in?

Now, the username and password are two separate steps, and they don't play nicely with LastPass's autofill. In addition to the two page login it seems they've also done something so that Keepass (the password manager I use) can't even fill in the password field. I hope this wasn't done on purpose t...

Re: Gift Cards Reimbursement Queston

I don't know of any policy that prohibits buying gift cards as gifts using budget funds. The only applicable statement I could find in the handbook is in section 34.7.2.2 : Stake presidents and bishops make sure budget allowance funds are spent wisely. Funds should be used to bless people and to fur...

Having the same problem here. You're workaround worked for me too but hopefully they get things fixed up soon because that's rather inconvenient.

Re: Elders quorum/Relief Society & fast offering recipients

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm a new ward clerk and need to do exactly this. We have a member in our ward who made a rent payment for a member in need. The Bishop has authorized reimbursement to the member who made the payment. Do I do this as a regular reimbursement from the fast offerings...
