I had seen the complaints about groups not showing up, but when one of our ward clerks complained that households were not appearing, I didn't make the connection. That seems to pretty clearly be the case. I should have seen that the problems were directly related. Has anyone actually reported this...

On the new maps site (maps.lds.org), each ward is supposed to verify each household's address. But lately, it appears that we have many households in our stake that don't appear on the map. It's not a huge percentage, but perhaps 5-20 or so per ward. Some were previously verified; some were not. Wh...

Thanks, Tom. I will forward that to our stake too for distribution to the units. So the calling's rights "stack" on each other, sounds like. An exec sec has no admin rights to calendar per https://tech.lds.org/ldshelp/index.php5/Local_Unit_Calendar:_Rights_and_Roles/eng#Wards So that would explain ...

Just got off the line with LUS. Apparently only three callings (not people) can make calendaring changes and have online tools at ward level: * bishop * clerk * ward web administrator (WWA) Each tool on the new lds.org has slightly different access rules but this is definitely not correct for the c...

Is there a way for Elder's Quorum Presidents to have access to the admin rights for MLS Web? I have admin rights from the Bishopric for our desktop MLS (helping to serve as a clerk as well) and am not able to obtain access. I noticed that Elders Quorum President is not under the Tier 2 leadership a...

I understand that your calling in MLS determines whether or not you can access MLS online. In my stake I am the Assistant Stake Executive Secretary. I'm also kind of the technical one, and the one my Stake Presidency (and the stake in general) turns to for advice and evaluation of church technology...

Information sent to me directly from MLS Support was that my bishop had to make the call for a missionary who's family had moved into our ward. Either way, the process is not automatic - the two bishops should discuss the timing and then a contact has to be made to affect the change. It's possible ...

Your bishop has to call the Missionary Department in SLC and let them know your ward is picking up the financial obligation for the missionary. The financial obligation does not transfer with the membership record. Only the bishop of the receiving ward can do this, if I understand the process corre...

Using the View/Edit Budget feature to set the budgets and then running Budget Reports as we always have seems a lot simpler for both clerks and auxiliaries. Then at the end of the year, we make one transfer for each Budget subcategory to zero it out, leaving the balance forward in Budget:Budget All...
