Actually, unless they have recently changed their policy, you can return the items and get them credited back to the ward. We have done so a couple of times. A few years ago, we returned about 50 old Brigham Young manuals (from 10 years ago!), among other items, and they credited every sing...

'Name Unknown' in HT lists

Forgive me if this has been asked already... I searched the forums, but could not find anything. It appears that with the latest MLS update (2.8.1), we have mystery names now showing up in our Home Teaching screens and reports. They aren't entirely a mystery as these names are individua...

Xmission provides ISP DSL service in Northern Utah, as well as other regional areas (www.xmission.com). Though you still need to pay Qwest for the phone line. I prefer Xmission as their support is great, and they are local to Salt Lake City, though they are expanding regionally.

Ward Conferences...

I'm sure if differs Stake by Stake, though the handbook probably gives general guidelines, but our Stake generally outlines the topic for Ward Conference. Sacrament meeting consists of the Stake President and the ward Bishop speaking on the topic. Sunday School is generally held "as normal", th...

Record-Keeping Training

I am curious to know if there are plans to update the "Record-Keeping and Auditing Training" modules in the "Serving in the Church" section of LDS.org? Particularly those relating to keeping Membership and Financial records in MLS... Some of the later versions of MLS, especially 2.8, have many more...

Return them...

A couple of years ago, we had the same issue (including a case of Brigham Young manuals), so I just loaded up the car and returned everything to Distribution Services. They took everything and credited the ward's account. I figure if they can't use them, then they will recycle them....

Seminary Registration in MLS

We are going through the process of Seminary registration, and find the new features in this regard in MLS to be very exciting! However, there are a couple of questions and concerns: - When creating and printing the form for a student, it automatically fills in the father and mother of the student,...

Thanks, Tom! I did convert it to .xls format, as well, so I'll upload both and you can choose. :D

The .ods file still has my ward name in the header, so you will need to adjust that. I hope this is something like what you were looking for. If not, you can adjust it as you see fit!

I have something like this...

I do have something like this... I tried to attach it (from my thumb drive at work) but it is in Open Office Spreadsheet .ods (Calc) format that is not allowed to attach here. I will convert it to Excel or PDF format at home, and try to post it later.... :)

A few years ago, a paper titled, "Information for Priesthood and Auxiliary Leaders on Curriculum" was distributed to all units. It can be found at LDS.org -> Gospel Library -> Support Materials -> Teaching (link below). Under "More Support Materials" is a link for "Information for Priesthood and Aux...
