Re: Other Accounts used for Scout Fund Raising funds

I spent a few hours trying to glean information from what is posted here. There is lots of great information, but I still have questions. Our ward has an approved fund raiser. We want to motivate the individuals to take advantage of the fund raising opportunity we have been given. So we tell the boy...

Certificates

We use the OOTB certificate generator and a ream of nice bond paper to give something to families when an ordinance is performed. Yes, it is laser printed, but at least it shows something was recorded and is "suitable for framing" as they say. But I'd like to make a recommendation. The for...

Re: Members in Geographic Wards, who attend specialty wards

I found the functionality that lists the wards that apply a particular area of my unit. OK. That is helpful to help me know who to contact to ask them if they can supply the contact information for people in their units that live in the geographical boundaries of my unit. In my case, when I loaded a...

Re: Members in Geographic Wards, who attend specialty wards

How would I know with whom to coorelate? Very often language unit members cross stake bondaries, and unit leaders don't know they even exist. So we won't be able to provide local assistance in the event of an earthquake or other major disaster.

Members in Geographic Wards, who attend specialty wards

I think it would be great if leadership (bBishops/BPs) could receive a regular (quarterly?) report from the church of all the members that are known that live in the geographic boundaries but are assigned/attend other wards. For example, I live where language wards overlap my geographic ward. If the...

Other accouting - mis-deposited budget funds and future camp deposits

I've spent a couple of hours reading but couldn't come up with good answers to 2 questions I have about the Other accounts. 1) We have a multi ward Cub program and as the agent ward, we pay for expenses for the program from our Primary Budget (often made to payees in other wards) and request budget ...

I found that if I edited their membership record from the lds.org log in (as the bishop, I can do this) and didn't change anything, that their geocode was updated and their dot moved to their new address. Automagically.

Airplane image

This isn't entirely constructive, but I noticed today when I first clicked on Maps, that the default view is of an airplane. Then it quickly jumps to my ward boundaries. Firefox 14.0.1, Win7, Log into LDS.org and then choose the LDS Maps from the menu under my name.

So that is the solution? A Ward Administrator must move the dot for all families that move into the ward and express this bug?
