Re: Gospel Library 4.0 for Android

1) I don't know. 2) You can pin it in landscape mode and then it takes up half the screen. There is no solution in portrait mode. 3) I don't know. 4) Agreed - annoying. Burying useful things under more clicks is not helpful. The more I used it, the more problems I found. The more I read here, the mo...

Re: Missing GL SD card support is serious concern

Also agreed. GL should be able to make its own dir on the SD card and have full rights to it. That other apps don't isn't a problem. I begin to fear that the church development team believe all their users are on the bleeding edge and can afford one of the few devices that have a decent amount of in...

Re: Creating a link - how to navigate to related reference

Really? I'm not going to reinstall just to find out, but now you have to search for what you want to link to rather than navigating to it? Someone please tell me that's not true (i.e. that searching isn't the only way to link).

Re: Gospel Library 4.0 for Android

Please! Let me have the old version. I can't see my footnotes, links, or tags on the same screen. I can't do a quick search so I can link things easily. The menu is not nearly as intuitive as the 3.0.3 version. You can get the old version here, and side-load it: https://tech.lds.org/dl/android/org....

Re: Gospel Library Ideas\Suggestions

When I write a note in my physical scriptures I can see the note. Gospel library hides the note. Yes, you can click into each note, but the that's a break in the thought process that interferes with assimilating the information. I'd love the option to display my notes inline above or below verses. ...

Re: Gospel Library 4.0 for Android

Re: Gospel Library 4.0 for Android

In my experience, any app that does a major revision change (first number in the revision numbering) does this.

Re: Gospel Library 4.0 for Android

Even with the new "Related Content" pinned, it does not scroll with content like the old footnote pane used to. We were hoping to get this completed in time for the update, but we had to push it off if we were going to get the update out (and still have time to respond to major issues) be...

Re: Update to GL for Android 4.0.0.38: All data lost

No, there was no warning. I don't consider the loss catastrophic, but I would have handled the upgrade differently (paper notes or lots of tagging) had I known I was going to lose all the things I did... IMO, other things are a bigger deal as you can recreate your custom collections and your list of...
