I've recorded these requests. Much is being done towards providing role/calling based rights to send messages to groups of members. Look for it later this year or in 2010 along with the new LDS.org tools. Thanks - Chad Fullmer, product manager fullmercb@ldschurch.org While waiting for your response,...

I agree 100% with srweight in that the next feature of the calendar needs to be the ability to schedule an exception to a repeating event. Does anyone know of an official "feature request" page where we can post this? It's great for the end users to talk about, but it'd be better if some decision-m...

inspired by the thread started by JDlessley that thread is here: (some of the issues in the thread are already corrected.) I would like a discussion about enhancements or improvements for the beta version of the calendar, now up and running at https://beta.lds.org/church-calendar . Sign in with you...

Has there been any statement made on whether the data we put into the current calendar will carry over when the product comes out of beta? Events will remain when we move from beta to live (LDS.org). Events from the old Stake & Ward Website calendar (Local Unit Website or LUW) will not be automatic...

News for international Church members

OK, but have you any news for international Church members??? Glad you asked. We are working to replace LUWs with a better calendar, ward directory, leadership directory, messaging system, etc - both to enhance them and to enable us to roll them out in other languages & areas of the world. While I ...

Contributors License Agreement Applies to Designers Too

It's not all that restricted -- all you need is an LDS Account. So yes, it is restricted to members of the Church, but I really doubt that anyone else is interested. So I agree with mkmurray that we should keep all the content in the wiki. There is an additional requirement (Individual Contributors...

Great ideas

I like your thinking. One of the driving principles behind the new software and websites that the Church will build going forward is for us to be audience focused. I imagine RSS feeds and other extenders that will work much like you're describing here - so that users can consume Church content (and ...

If it was something like Google Calendars and the other layers were available but not displayed by default, it would be helpful if there was some sort of method to indicate that there are events available in a given layer that are not currently being displayed. Much like on this website where the f...

New mapping apps are being developed at Church HQ that should allow local leaders to manually override/correct the positioning of buildings (and for ward members to correct positioning of their homes) as needed
