Balanced output provided for webcast connections
I am in the process of setting up our Webcast system and have been doing some test runs and have come to realization that the 'webcast output' provided in the satellite closet is balanced line level, not the unbalanced line level PCs (including the Webcast Communicator) are designed for. This leads ...

Re: Coax connections
This would work with the proper video distribution amplifier instead of an RF distribution amp but I do think it would be best to change the jacks from F-type to RCA with a new label to avoid confusion. I would only change out the jacks that are needed for projectors only though. For example I would...

Re: Webcast Movement Problem
It seems to be an encode issue, but we could be fooled, those mixers also do an encode/decode to deal with frame syncing. I just got back from testing our new Webcast Communicator and hooked a DVD player up directly for test purposes. Have you tried that? I used the Restoration DVD which has a compl...

Re: Sony EVI-D70 Camera Control
I just got the Camera and Webcast Communicator today. I connected a monitor and checked out the hardware (Intel Atom Dual Core with Hyperthreading). One thought, has anyone connected a USB to RS-232/422 adapter and the camera control software to the Webcast Communicator? I figure with remote control...

Re: roku
Both the Roku.com site and Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roku) say the XD model lacks the USB port, maybe you just got lucky? Note the Roku XDS also has USB, but that is an older model.

Re: roku
Nope, it isn't in the current line-up, that is the XD, which doesn't have the USB port.

Re: roku - XS being discontinued
Note the XS is being discontinued in favor of the Roku 3 which only has HDMI outputs and will not work with older TVs.

Re: Clerk computers as media server
I looked into Roksbox for my home setup and ended up using Plex (www.plexapp.com) instead, much easier to use. I can't speak to the appropriateness of it's use but it was way easier to setup for me. I was considering a similar move in my building but we have a FHC we can play with to avoid putting s...

Re: General Conference Via Broadband and Webcast
Thanks for this info, I was not aware of the streamingsupport@ldschurch.org option. We have a small ward that meets in a building without satellite and have considered using a Roku so they can have conference in their own building. The question has always been 'what about priesthood?'. Based on this...
