Re: Out of Unit Baby Blessing Best Practices

I don't want to be antagonistic, but I disagree with both chriswoodut and eblood66. When printing a certificate, it will reflect the ward in which the certificate is printed. While a baby blessing is not a saving ordinance, it is still presided over by priesthood authority, in particular the Bishop...

Re: Out of Unit Baby Blessing Best Practices

You should be able to check whether the home ward has already created a record by beginning (but not completing) a record request in LCR (do the search but then hit cancel at step 2). Or you can just call the home ward and ask. If the home ward has already created a record then just print the certi...

Re: LCR access for person with 2 callings

There is a yellow box in the center just below the LCR menu choices that lets you change callings. I have 2 callings with radically different permissions. The user with multiple callings clicks the down carat(down arrow) at the end of the yellow box and they can change what calling LCR uses for per...

LCR access for person with 2 callings

I've got a brother that is the financial clerk and the EQ secretary. I have assigned him both callings. However, in LCR he doesn't seem to have access to print rolls. I'm not sure if this is because there are 2 callings and the system only looks at one for access rights, OR, if neither of these two ...

Re: Advice for Moving Records

Aukie makes a good point about the membership clerk not being in bishopric meeting or ward council to stay on top of changes in membership. Because of that and because of so many if the tools being online and easy to use, we no longer have a membership clerk. Our wards work load was too light to ded...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

I will say the discussion in EQ about texting originated because people don't read their email. And I frustrate them all by responding that I read and respond to all of my email, and I ignore texts. But I agree that most folks seem to want texts, nowadays. Yeah, I'm always a little baffled that peo...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

If this is something you really need, your stake leaders need to start communicating it to their presiding authorities ... with the understanding that what you ask for, you may not get. I've already submitted this via the feedback form on the website. I'm sure this isn't a new request. If you all t...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

I think it is important for members to "opt in" to text message groups. It is not appropriate for leaders to scrape contact information from the ward directory and automatically add members to such groups. The ward directory has visibility settings for a good reason, and we need to respec...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

We get attachments which is good but now the world is evolving and the ward orgs are requesting group texting functionality. Ugh. I just listened to a 7 minute discussion about it in EQ on Sundays and people suggesting installing 3rd party chat tools. Ack. Here in the USA, ATT has a 10 person group ...

Re: Sending Emails with attachments ?

Thanks for reporting back that it works for you. I have a solution, though I think that there is a problem hidden: If I change my email address to a gmail address (which I have but hardly ever use), I receive the emails, I don't know if this is also true for other recipients. As I own my standard e...
