Re: Missionary Fund Withdrawal process

I would recommend they don't donate it all at one time. If they get sick and have to come home early, that can be problematic as it can't be refunded. I get uncomfortable when people get too far ahead and will contact them. I had one member that was so far ahead that we had to roll the excess to the...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

I have a member that works for familysearch.org and that's the email address he uses. He doesn't get my emails from LCR. I passed that info via feedback just in case they ever want to dig into it. I sometimes wonder if who the sender is, is part of the mix. My personal domain I can setup SPF records...

Re: Suggestion for LCR/Move Records Out

I agree that a note would be helpful. When I've had parents reluctant to assist, I've told them I'm happy to send the new bishop a message or provide the new bishop's name and phone #/email so they can contact the bishop themselves and provide info. If the move was recent and if they use the US post...

Re: Sacred Funds, Sacred Responsibilities video

Back on 4 Dec 2019 when I became aware of this new training video, I sent the link to my bishopric, and asked them each to watch the video. Yesterday, we received an email from our stake auditor, quoting a new question on the end-of-year audit. The question asks if the bishopric, ward clerk, and as...

Re: Electronic Reimbursement - Approval Process

If asked by an auditor to show him the electronic attachments for a particular reimbursement, where do I go to do that in LCR? The auditor has access to them himself. When we did our last audit, he had already checked all of the ones with electronic docs before he arrived. You can view the past rei...

Paper goods, plastic utensils, etc?

All, Where do you purchase your cups, paper plates, plastic utensils, etc? Historically, we've had someone purchase a bunch all at one time from Costco and store them in a closet at the church for activities. I see that Staples has the same types of products on contract pricing with the church on th...

Re: Ward Weekly Bulletin?

As an aside, the rich-text formatted approach would be easy to implement in LDS Tools app. For those in love with the QR approach, they could still just put a URL in the body and let people link out to whatever the ward is doing.
