Nonmembers in LUWS

It would be very helpful to be able to add nonmembers to the local unit web sites. This is a capability of MLS, and for all the reasons it's good in MLS, it would be good on the local unit web sites. Here are two reasons: 1. Many nonmember spouses are happy to be listed with their member spouse on w...

HC Matrix

MKMurray, Thank you for posting your application. I appreciate you taking the time not only to write the application but also to share it. The one aspect of your application that makes it less than optimal, in my opinion, is that the speaking assignments are all clumped together. Take the example of...

Changing old transactions

In our stake, our auditors are instructed to use the "Custom" option for the date range in the Income/Expense report, and set it to the audit period. That way any changes made after the audit period won't affect balancing the "Other" account. Unfortunately, the above statement is not true. In MLS y...

Reconciling the Budget Category

The reconciliation process in MLS is concerned only with the Missionary and Other accounts. However, in most wards there is more activity in the Budget category, yet there is no process recommended for reconciling the Budget category. Yes, I know that the reconciliation process does allow you to che...

Sample Spreadsheet for Stake Budget

Would you mind sharing your spreadsheet template here on the forum for others to use? (Taking all data out...) Here is the spreadsheet I use. It certainly assumes certain practices unique to our stake. For instance, our stake president has a standard practice of allowing wards to carry forward a ma...

Stake expenses and allocations

I am doing it [tracking ward expenses] inside the Stake MLS. Very tedious, but it does work. Could you please clarify what you are doing? I suppose one option is that you are entering expense and income records for each ward by category into Stake MLS. However, that not only sounds tedious, but it ...

Gospel Doctrine, too?

The point made back previously is that all the wards are not on the same schedule because of Ward Conference. The ability asked for is to make those changes at a ward level on a ward by ward basis. It can still keep the stake schedule as default if none is entered but what is requested is the abili...

PR/RS Lessons at Stake Level is great

I think in this case it was a choice of the PM (no policy either way) and thinking that the lesson schedule should be the same across the stake they wanted to reduce the ammount of work and so took it at a single level. Now that it has been out and feedback returned updates eventually will be made....

Only User ID is recorded

So the real question is which of the two identifiers is recorded in the logs as a user performs various tasks while using MLS? Can anyone from the MLS team answer this? I'm not on the MLS team, but I'm certain that only the user ID is recorded as connecting a user to a transaction. Here's my reason...

Removing a user = delete or inactivate

And yet -- in MLS 2.7 there is now the "Remove" option that I don't recall seeing before. I haven't used it yet (because I just noticed it after upgrading to 2.7 last week -- it's in the screenshot in danpass' posting on the right side of the "users" page)... Is this something new? I'll try it out ...
