Only SLC can change LUWS username
I have an unusual request from a sister who wants to change her user name. Don't ask why.....it's a long story... Anyway, I haven't been able to figure out how to do this. I know you can change the password but if you click on "forgot user name" it directs you to the administrator, me, ...

MLS 2.8 still beta?
Version 2.8 was just downloaded and installed a few minutes ago. The first thing I noticed was that the link for Confidential Forms is gone. It isn't even referenced in the help documentation. Seeing this I figured I should check the Release Notes to see why this change took place and what else mig...

Resetting Primary Rolls
When I went to print Primary class rolls, many children were missing even though they met the age criteria for a class, they appeared in none of the Primary class rolls. I was able to add them but I am puzzled as to why some children are picked up automatically while other are not. I assume that th...

Overriding Calendar Events
When ward members view the LUWS calendar, they see the ward calendar merged with the stake calendar and the Church calendar. This works okay, but very often we end up with duplicated events because there is no ability to override events from a higher level. Let me illustrate with some examples. The ...

Meeting Times have been updated
ericb wrote:Just checked...the meeting time hasn't yet changed on our ward website. Do we have to do another meeting time update with an effective date in the future?
At least for our stake (and I assume church-wide), meeting times were updated on LUWS for all of our units sometime last night. Hallelujah!:)

You can print signature cards from MLS. Just go to Reports/Forms, Print Form, then select Signature Card.

Keeping envelopes
In the MLS "tip" sent to all the units in December that discussed the ability to process a donation postmarked in 2007, there was no mention of retaining the postmarked envelope as part of the documentation. (Although now it makes perfect sense.) I processed a few of these and could have easily ret...

Donations from 2007 must be postmarked 2007
I believe I already know the answer to this, but was wondering if there was any possible way to included a donation processed in 2008 on a 2007 tax statement. The member in question gave a donation to the Bishop in December that was mistakenly lost. The re-issue for this was given to the Bishop the...

Expense records local to MLS
In our Stake MLS, we have budget categories for each unit in the Stake. The categories have a Budget "allotment" that we have entered into MLS, but each month there obviously is never anything taken out of the budget category for the units because the Stake financial does not pull from the ward fin...

Folders for News and Information
It would make News and Information items much more useful if we could organize them into folders or categories, preferably with more than one level of folders or subcategories. Also, the one attachment per item limit is overly restrictive. If you get much more than a dozen items, a single level list...
