Re: New Cisco D9865

Can you come and sort our Biggles? The dish is on the end of the building face those trees. About 18 months ago we had some similar issues the status light kept going red and amber on our old wagner 550 box. Back then i indicated possible tree issues the FM group had the dish lifted the cable from t...

I know little about line of site for the dishes but could trees affect it? I know rain can reduce signal strength. See my attached pictures could these trees cause an issue.

Re: New Cisco D9865

Well thing have been on and off in terms of recent test results had someone check last week and they said it was fine. I've come to set up and it cuts out sound and or pictures at least once every 5 minutes. Signal quality is only 48 and signal strength is 74. The new Cisco reciever does not seem to...

Re: New Cisco D9865

We had one of the 550 models forget the actual name grey in colour. It's a single reciever install using the current dish. I didn't go digging around on the controls through fear of breaking it and could find no user manual or info on the tech pages. I will email the tech missionaries at the area of...

New Cisco D9865

Hi Reaching out to anyone who has recently had their satellite receiver upgraded to the new Cisco 9865. The signal is very unstable in a 5 minute test view it dropped out 5 times which makes it all but unusable. Has anyone else had the same issue. I'm from the UK so anyone from here had a similar ex...

Re: LDS Tools Permissions Stake Clerk vs lowly bishopric mem

Would my stake assistant clerk calling not give me the same access rights as a stake clerk. Or do they now have an official calling for stake techs that omits these privledges. I can live with out just want to check it's right. The only other useful side is so I can help with technical training whic...

Re: Support for Windows XP being discontinued

I'm not paid to do my job the fm group are and sorry but I expect them to do it well and right and when it comes to IT all I see is a big mess and them never getti...

Re: Support for Windows XP being discontinued

Agreed on the document update but it's update date is Dec 2013 they did change it that quick. Working with the fm group is just so frustrating. I will challenge them now and see what they say.

Re: Support for Windows XP being discontinued

I too am interested in this topic. I have 7 Local unit computers that were due for replacement in 2013 (bought Oct 2007). Interestingly when I enquired with the FM group at the end of 2012 I was told they would all be replaced in 2013. The end of 2013 came and no replacements or communication. Then ...
