Re: Edit an existing highlight

iOS Gospel Library uses iOS' built-in mechanism for selecting text, which doesn't support re-selecting a group of words (i.e. the bounds of the highlight) when tapping (I think it's a "security feature" that iOS doesn't allow apps to select text on a page on behalf of the user – the user h...

Re: Share your experience with broadcasting Sacrament Meeting

My ward put a music stand between the first and second rows, with a laptop sitting on top of it. The laptop was running Zoom. The laptop faced the podium, with the screen tilted so that the built-in camera pointed to the speaker. The clerk sat on the front row and checked the laptop screen every onc...

Re: GSuite Non-Profit Account?

Thanks Samuel, that is how I read it, too. My testing has consisted of creating meetings with my GSuite account, starting that meeting on my phone or computer A, then trying to join from Computer B without being logged in to a Google Account. Each time I try to join from Computer B, it prompts me t...

Re: Garment question

This would be a good question to ask your local bishop. If it were me, my opinion is that it would be OK, if done respectfully (neat writing, not too big, in a less-visible area). I think it's important to not put an undue burden on caretakers who might not understand the meaning of the garments (no...

Re: Larix Broadcaster

First update: Zoom - use the touchscreen to expand and pinch just like a photo. You might want to avoid the word "Zoom" as it can be easily confused with a product of the same name. I suggest using the word "Zooming", or the phrase, "To zoom". Or "Zoom in or out.&...

Re: GSuite Non-Profit Account?

This is the relevant page: https://support.google.com/meet/answer/9303069 In the last section, "Join a video meeting without a Google Account," there are two caveats: 1. To join the meeting, the "meeting organizer or someone from the organization must grant you access to the meeting.&...

Re: Emergency Contact Section

If I remember correctly, in Leader and Clerk Resources there's a place to see family members in other Church units, if they have membership records. From that, a bishop could contact the bishop of a family member's ward to get in contact with the family. (Am I remembering correctly?)

Re: Cannot update the bookmark in same chapter using ios

Just to be clear, the bookmark remembers 2 pieces of information successfully: where I am in the text and where I am in the audio, which can be very different locations. Your location in the audio will be remembered whether or not you set a bookmark. My question comes down to why does it care if th...

Re: Cannot update the bookmark in same chapter using ios

That makes sense, I think I understand the confusion. Audio will, by default, remember its position (no bookmark needed). If you stop listening in the middle of a chapter, then come back later, when you start listening again, it will pick up where you left off. The bookmark can be useful in this sce...
