Re: Priesthood at activities.

The most recent letter that refers to this that I'm aware of (for the USA/Canada) was sent Oct 2019, and contains the same wording that's now in the General Handbook. As both this letter as well as the Handbook do not make any mention about Priesthood presence, I agree that unless you receive specif...

Re: New Signature Card shows as "pending"

I expect a call to the Global Service Center by the Ward Clerk is the next likely step, as somebody will have to step in and manually fix the glitch. And then if you are successful, please post here with that info. I imagine both the two previous posters on this thread somehow got their issue resolv...

Re: Viewing ward boundaries

And of course, the great thing about having the pdf soft copy, is that it's very flexible for mark-up and sharing, as opposed to a single hard copy map. When there was a proposed boundary change in a previous ward I lived in, I used CDOL to generate the ward boundary map, then produced a couple of m...

Re: Recurring Zoom Meetings and Co Hosts for Sunday School

Our Area Presidency sent out guidelines specific to our Area, and both sacrament meeting broadcasts as well as second-hour broadcasts, were specifically required to be live and not recorded or posted to the internet. Of course your mileage may vary, but as I expect these Area guidelines are reviewed...

Re: Smart TV/ Apple TV

I believe the Bishop is also able to make the change -- not sure if Bishops are tagged as STS behind-the-scenes, or if they also have access granted. But we were successful in connecting our Chromecast device this way, and we didn't have any STS around when we did this ;)

Re: Tracking hybrid sacrament mtg attendance

We are simply tracking in-person sacrament meeting attendance, looking for general trends (are there wild fluctuations in attendance? Is there a general trend in more or less members attending?). Nothing with virtual attendees, mostly because as mentioned it's difficult to ascertain who is logged on...

Re: A group exemption letter

Interesting, I didn't receive any info on this, and also cannot see the letter (using Branch President access). I understand not wanting to spam everyone, but I think the reality is that many Stakes do not have good communication processes for these types of things. I'm often left wondering if the C...

Re: Interactive & Non-Interactive Hybrid

Congrats on the new calling! I think you'll find on the Forum, that different Area Presidencies throughout the USA are coming out (on different timelines) with additional instructions specific to their Areas. Where I live, last week we received updates specific to our Area, and in fact tonight our S...

Re: letter(s) from former spouse as part of sealing cancellation process

What I would like is to know if anyone had success with the standard response of "ask your presiding leader". I've seen many variations on this issue discussed in different threads, and haven't ever seen any success with a Stake President having the required info if a Bishop didn't have it...

Re: Sharing out experience with Virtual Sacrament Meeting Broadcasts

There's at least one unit using a simple "member equipment" approach! As I've stated elsewhere, while I appreciate techies (at least to me you guys are all techies) who understand the ins-and-outs of audio/visual stuff, we have a sufficient implementation which works for us: using Zoom on ...
