Re: Records of excommunication
I sympathize with your member's heartfelt desire to know this, I'm sure it's truly meaningful during their faith crisis. However, from the father's perspective, I think it would be incorrect for the Church to share this information. Imagine somebody who worked to get their membership restored, and t...

Re: Non member youth roster issue
Walkerbear21, perhaps you're thinking of what can be done for a child under 9 years of age, when a membership record can get created and the child shows up on the Primary roles. And once you've passed baptism age without being baptized, the only way to get a membership record created (and thus appea...

Re: Reimbursement
I know for members with multiple callings, sometimes when they log onto their Church account it defaults to the "other" calling, which has different access permissions than they expect. Perhaps that's your situation?

Re: LDS Tools Feature Suggestion.
As part of the LDS tools application, it would be wonderful if missionaries could see members' ministering companionships. I expect that this is by design, that the missionaries should be closely working with the Ward Mission Leader and the members of the RS/EQ Presidencies, to get all pertinent me...

Re: New System for Temple Recommends?
Makes sense, thanks for the clarification. I now see that everyone will be moving to using LCR to print recommends (which is what the notice directly says, I just didn't grasp that part!)Paper will always be available. It just won't be in the form provided in book 1.

Re: donations not show in unit? Member pays direct to Church HQ
I don't think they are concerned about declaring their status as much as having local leaders see the amount (implying how much money they make). Agreed. I was also making a distinction (at least there's one in my mind) between Tithing Settlement and a Temple Recommend Interview, where the Bishop o...

Re: New System for Temple Recommends?
A few thoughts: * I also noted the instruction to destroy all copies of Book 1, without any need for keeping them until the last recommend in each book expires (which has been our practice). Unexpected, but I'm always up for getting rid of unnecessary clutter in my office, and our shredder will be r...

Re: donations not show in unit? Member pays direct to Church HQ
I'd suggest your Bishop navigate to the Tithing Settlement page in LCR, and then select the "Tithing Declaration" tab. Expanding the info section will automatically take him to the "Identifying and Recording Tithing Status" Help Center page, where the very first sentence is The t...

Re: Returned Missionary Balance
Regarding the O.P., I think it's important for the Bishop to sit and counsel with any well-intentioned members who ask for donated funds to be "re-assigned". I had a situation where the counsel (without providing details) was essentially for the member to personally consider the "lost...

Re: Attendance totals
you could use the Attendance Rolls printed copy filled out by those taking attendance. Agreed. Given the limitations of the online experience, if you're entering attendance info on the printed rolls and then afterwards entering that online, the printed rolls should contain this exact information yo...
