Re: Would signupgenius.com be safe for Church use?
In my previous Ward, I set up "youcanbook.me" and it worked well. Note that if you use this year-to-year, you cannot re-create a trial account using that same email, so another email would have to be used subsequently (not saying that's what anyone should do to get around the free trial li...

Re: Ministry: Secretary assigned to a District
I think we all need to accept the reality that the Church has allocated certain resources for these efforts, and they are overloaded with items that need their attention. We've all been in situations like that where it's all we can do to simply check our task box and move on to the next requirement,...

Re: custom OTHER accounts for online tithing slip
I agree that there's a wild variety of custom situations that any Bishop could determine justifies a separate "Other" category, but the intent and use of those funds is very different between cases. And donations are freely given without any fixed requirements on how they are used (at leas...

Re: EFT Payment Request for Bishopric Member
The Help Doc "Payment Request Instructions for Organization Leaders" does indicate that Payment Requests are intended for "organization leaders", and as such only organizations selected from the drop-down have the corresponding Payment Request tab. I believe members of the Bishop...

Re: Eligible members without callings
I wasn't aware of that "not eligible" setting in MLS. To me that filter seems a bit odd, as even members with restrictions can often receive meaningful callings (even if there are limitations). If the Bishop is using this for his own reference, he would know who in the full listing of memb...

Re: Priesthood at activities.
The most recent letter that refers to this that I'm aware of (for the USA/Canada) was sent Oct 2019, and contains the same wording that's now in the General Handbook. As both this letter as well as the Handbook do not make any mention about Priesthood presence, I agree that unless you receive specif...

Re: New Signature Card shows as "pending"
I expect a call to the Global Service Center by the Ward Clerk is the next likely step, as somebody will have to step in and manually fix the glitch. And then if you are successful, please post here with that info. I imagine both the two previous posters on this thread somehow got their issue resolv...

Re: Viewing ward boundaries
And of course, the great thing about having the pdf soft copy, is that it's very flexible for mark-up and sharing, as opposed to a single hard copy map. When there was a proposed boundary change in a previous ward I lived in, I used CDOL to generate the ward boundary map, then produced a couple of m...

Re: Recurring Zoom Meetings and Co Hosts for Sunday School
Our Area Presidency sent out guidelines specific to our Area, and both sacrament meeting broadcasts as well as second-hour broadcasts, were specifically required to be live and not recorded or posted to the internet. Of course your mileage may vary, but as I expect these Area guidelines are reviewed...

Re: Smart TV/ Apple TV
I believe the Bishop is also able to make the change -- not sure if Bishops are tagged as STS behind-the-scenes, or if they also have access granted. But we were successful in connecting our Chromecast device this way, and we didn't have any STS around when we did this
