Re: 2021 Recording Attendance Guidelines

One benefit of this "shared roll" experience, is that for example an EQ President could easily see the weekly 2nd hour attendance for his quorum members. If there's a member who isn't attending EQ class but is always attending SS class, it might indicate an issue (does he not like the EQ P...

Membership status
I had understood this to be whether a member was under formal probation, etc., not whether a person was a member or not (i.e. part-member families, etc). Is my understanding incorrect?

Re: Any policy on meetinghouse reserving

A local Stake Center adjacent to our local temple doesn't publicize this, but they do allow for usage of the building by non-Stake members who are attending the temple and need a place for another adult to take care of children, etc (our temple district members can take hours to drive to the temple)...

Re: LCR for tithing

It is a bit interesting that many of us have 'discovered' this was now available for our unit, without any official heads-up (and in our case, the Stake was likewise unaware it was locally available until we alerted them). I'd suggest perhaps searching the Forum and reading a couple threads on this ...

Re: Is there a way to create records for unbaptized children over 8?

I think the OP situation is analogous to an adult who is baptized, but only some (or none) of their 8+ year old children are baptized. Those who aren't baptized can/should be added to the household, but won't show up on class roles. The important role of a clerk in this case is to help organization ...

Re: ministering families

Just handing you a bunch of names isn't ministering, but administering
Agreed. And then you should also be having quarterly ministering interviews with a RS/EQ Presidency member, another chance to ask for additional info and coordinate your efforts.

Re: New Reimbursement Function

It's a bit confusing, since a bishopric member can submit payment requests for organizations, but not for the unit budget category. So for me, the default "Budget" page has the drop-down selected as "Unit Leader/Clerk", and no "Payment Request" tab shows. But once I cha...

Re: Updating Meeting Times

johnpapworth@gmail.com, did you check and see how long it took for the new time to appear? We often get questions like this on the Forum, but once it gets resolved we usually don't get a follow-up response that future Forum members can reference. So if it took a day (or three), let us know!

Re: Audit requirements when providing rent assistance...where do I find them?

an invoice, proof the member still lives there and proof the amount owed has not yet been paid will be required Since these three items (how much rent is, member lives there, and rent has not yet been paid) are all things a Bishop should know for sure before paying anything anyways, my default resp...

Re: Reporting attendance for Quarterly reports

Also, the Quarterly Report FAQ has the same info regarding attendance for those with ward/stake callings. A different forum thread asked if you need to verify each week that the member is actually at church in their other calling, my opinion is that it's fine for you as EQ secretary to assume that a...
