Re: Chromecast and Liahona

In addition to what russellhltn posted, the "No Splash" is only for wireless devices. If your TV can be connected via LAN cable, it will be automatically exempt. It goes without saying that sometimes that's not possible depending on the location of the nearest LAN jack.

Re: Church Webcasts using YouTube Live Streams

When you look at the copyright notice you'll find it's often due to the content matching some performance someone uploaded to the ContentID database. So even though the music and words are public domain it's matching some other performances. You can submit a dispute and say as much and the company ...

Re: Church Webcasts using YouTube Live Streams

Or did you mean they play music during the Zoom or YouTube broadcast? Of course. That's what we're discussing here. Even then, it may not be in the spirit of the handbook as members could be administering the sacrament at home during that time as well. Our stake has withdrawn the invitation to admi...

Re: Church Webcasts using YouTube Live Streams

Every week I get YouTube copyright notifications from some hymn or musical number performed. As was mentioned, these are the important parts of the YT message: The Content ID claim on your video doesn't affect your channel. This is not a copyright strike. ... Video cannot be monetized. Just last Sun...

Re: Our Stake's permanent camera setup

Well done and thanks for sharing! Our Stake President was asked by our Area Authority to come up with a more long-term solution for webcasting in our ward meetinghouses. Of course, as STS and retired EE with quite a bit of of webcasting experience, that falls upon me to design and implement somethin...

Re: Updating Stake center A/V system

Besides safety features and adhering to local building codes, there's also very specific requirements laid out to the FM managers that you or I wouldn't normally know about, like the strict height window that a wall mounted camera must stay within. Does anyone know what that height window is? It's ...

Re: Problems with my LDS account

I believe I have two accounts, I don't know how this happened: I can only see one of them, I know I have made donations but can't see any on the one account I can sign into. Could they be combined? Try the instructions in the post linked below and see if it helps. https://tech.churchofjesuschrist.o...

I'm a retired Electronic Engineer and have worked with grounding and bonding radio towers, cell sites, ham radio stations, and the like. I agree with your Area Technology Specialist. Leave them on and let them assume their sleep state when not in use. The external power supplies on these Small Form ...

Re: Unofficial guide for YouTube Live - Part 5: Invite Others to Assist / Stream Keys

I have been using my personal YouTube account for testing and this feature seems to require a "brand account" or one related to a business at setup time. Right? I don't think so. I can see the option to invite others using my personal YT account, but I haven't tried it. I found the email ...
