Re: How to display different mailing address?

Thanks for the response; much appreciated. Are you saying that providing access to actual mailing addresses is "of no use to the membership at large"? That's a fairly surprising statement, and one that I don't feel is based on a realistic view of "contact information". Oh well. I...

How to display different mailing address?

Some members in our ward receive mail at an adult child's address or have a PO Box. How can this be displayed on the lds.org directory? (I can't find a way.) (It works fine when you enter it in MLS and use MLS to print labels, but too many people want to download the spreadsheet from lds.org and ent...

It's the middle name that doesn't match.

We do have cases where a nonmember wife is listed in the new difectory but a nonmember husband. What's up with that?

Non-member wife's name is correct in MLS, but not on LUWS

Member X's wife is not a member. She does *not* have a non-member record defined. The only place the wife's name exists in MLS is on the member's record as his spouse. On LUWS, she has a different name. The member is not able to change the LUWS record and neither are any clerks. Q1: If she's not a m...

Non-member access to lds.org mailings?

A non-member woman has been actively attending church with her children for a couple of months now (she has family who are members, her son is in the Cub Scout pack, her daughter is attending Young Women, her brother-in-law is our ward mission leader, she just attended stake conference, etc.). She w...

Date

OK - so the date today is 4 Jan 2010.

Does the server have its date wrong?

Any thoughts about the other two issues?

Three bugs (?) with the new.lds.org membership directory

I see three issues with the membership directory *when printed* (as opposed to viewed): 1. The date continuously shows up as Jan 3, 2010. 2. It chops the surname of a sister who does not share her husband's last name (i.e., if Peter Paul is married to Molly May, it displays them as "Paul, Peter and ...

The rule of thumb we've always used is "on their own", and yes, that's subjective. I'm not sure that a college student living with mom and dad or a missionary applies. Certainly, turning 18 is no automatic qualifier. If Mom and Dad are still paying for car insurance and a cell phone, can the kid rea...
