It looks like all is well. I checked other widows/widowers and the behavior is consistent.

But it didn't use to be that way ... anyway, all is well.

Requesting individual records in 2.8.1

I've had this happen to me twice this week; unfortunately, it didn't dawn on me until after the second time that maybe there's an issue, so I don't have a paper trail to prove it. Problem is this: 1. I needed to request individual records (as opposed to a household record) for members belonging to f...

Hmm, maybe I found my own answer. http://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=489 Apparently this is now a feature - a member's deceased spouse shows as the current spouse as long as they do not remarry. So now I wonder what the other people in the ward (with deceased spouses) really look like? I was...

Terminating a marriage doesn't work

Member X has a non-member spouse, who passed away over a year ago. Said spouse still shows up as the current spouse. Member X recently went to the temple and was sealed to said spouse. When I click on the member's record, the spouse is still there. If I were to attempt to terminate the marriage, it ...

Record number for a deceased non-member?

A brother in our ward recently received a copy of his Individual Ordinance Summary, preparatory to his setting up lds.org access. He pointed out that on his record, the section showing his parents shows his mother with a record number; his father does not have a record number. His mother is deceased...

Boy I have to disagree with this. It seems to me that most of the calls are for the husband. This is the exact problem we are having right now with our Elders' Quorum; they all put their wife's cell phone down as the primary number and it becomes impossible to contact the husbands for anything (inc...

My teenagers and college student and I each have a cell phone. Like others in our family ward, we did not change our area codes when we moved. Not speaking as a clerk, but speaking as an individual -- people need to have at least one local number when they move to a new ward. Not everyone has a cel...

Just a suggestion for dealing with the combinations of landlines, multiple cell phones, etc. 1. If there is a landline, put it as the primary, and put the wife's cell phone as the secondary. 2. If there is no landline, put the wife's cell as the primary and the husband's as the secondary. I know a l...

But do we count them in attendance when counting sacrament attendance? We went back and forth on this last year, and I never got a comfort level. We currently do NOT count them as present at Church, but I could justify it from either side.
