Re: 881W firewall limiting port throughput

This is going to become an issue, the 25mbps limit. Comcast has in fact upped the speeds on the 15-20mbps tier to 25-30mbps, I regularly am now getting as high as 32mbps speeds. Also, the FCC in the US is working to try to get everyone 100mbps by the end of the decade, not just in the metro areas, b...

Re: Former seminary teacher required to change password

If this in fact is unrelated, please move to its own thread, but I have been hearing of something similar in association with familysearch.org. A user, not a support missionary, but just an everyday user, got an email saying they were required to change their password within 14 days. I understand th...

Re: A great option for Home web filtering

A good option for Youtube is now K9 Web Protection, while this has been discussed here before, the Youtube filtering feature is new. Now they are able to for the most part filter based on video metadata and maybe even descriptions. You can submit video URLs that it does not catch, as I suspect that ...

Re: Housecleaning

That's not unexpected for the Gospel Principles (2009) version, but the old one can go. The current one is still used for the Gospel Essentials class and also for occasional other usage by other leaders at times for class material as well as by members and even missionaries. Same for the 'Teachings ...

Re: Analysis of the Number of Convert Baptisms

At one point it was said that the average missionary had four baptisms per capita per year, don't know how true that is now, but it looks like it may be around five to six a year now. If we have double the missionaries out, and a stake president said that at a recent priesthood conference in Utah Co...

Re: Church filter test site showing incorrect info

Looks like Russell wanted to put in a message but only got the quoted part not anything he may have desired to say. I use that filter check URL all the time to test my own filter (K9) to be sure it's working properly, I just went in and set up a custom block. I had an older one but thanks to this th...

Re: Who should buy the Roku or (WD Player)?

One thing I just found out. This involves the Roku's and one of the big computer magazine found a new model in browsing through some FCC filings. Didn't have much detail, and it has been indicated by the magazine that found the filings for the new device that it will be slightly smaller than the one...

It's fixed now. aceinsight.com, Websense's site categorization lookup tool, now shows the site as 'traditional religions'.

Re: Book of Mormon app pass-along cards

Here's the store.lds.org link to the cards. 125 of the 500 cards in the box link to the Book of Mormon page on mormon.org. http://store.lds.org/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product3_715839595_10557_21128_-1__3074457345616901725 Hard to find the magazine PDF on lds.org, so I went to a well-known blog si...

Re: Book of Mormon app pass-along cards

Those QR codes only went to the mormon.org page about the Book of Mormon. The app was not completely ready for the app stores even until just after those appeared.

The cards are also available in boxes of 500 through the Online Store. 125 of them specifically go to the noted Book of Mormon page.
