Re: TEM for Family History Centers?

If the PCs are new, since LANDesk is still needed on the official FHC computers, install that first, that is required before going back and installing Tivoli. That is because of the need to be sure the filtering works first before putting Tivoli on. Test filtering after installing LANDesk. use http:...

Re: Book of Mormon app pass-along cards

Haven't seen or heard of any yet, I've done my own for various Church videos using the first versions of the 'I'm a Mormon' card (the current one that has a pre-printed QR code does not have enough room for the stickers they make now for QR codes, the Avery 22805's.) I simply make stickers, then put...

Re: Sugardoodle blocked?

Send Websense an email to suggest at websense.com and they should fix it. Explain what the content of the site really is, that it does not fit the category of a 'social networking' site as we define it today (however, you do see the commonly-posted 'chiclet' images to go to pages on Facebook or Goog...

Re: CES Fireside download

Appears to be delayed, they got the video for viewing up, but that was Tuesday. However, I think I may know the reason for the delay. Just after that over at FamilySearch they had a major issue that affected their operations internally across the board. The site was up, the big one was with indexing...

Re: Paperless Stake Calendar/Directory

Another consideration that may be a reason for at least a limited printing run of a directory or calendar would be senior citizens or low-income people. In many cases they may not own a computer, or cannot use one due to other issues with even being able to operate one. Or they just simply don't wan...

Some classes, class selections missing from Lesson Schedules

With the start of the new year, the Lesson Schedules application rolled over to the new year, however there are some glitches I've noticed with it. 1. You have to reselect the classes you want to follow. This is the case whether or not there is class content linked to on the page. 2. The Aaronic Pri...

Re: mormonchannel.org embedded webpage players do not work.

True, Firefox 12 is only about six months to a year old. They started releasing full-number versions about a year ago. I'm on a much older system and have otherwise had no problems with Firefox other than a few glitches with Mormon Channel just after it launched in 2009, but that was cleared up soon...

mormonchannel.org embedded webpage players do not work.

The Mormon Channel website was just updated probably over the weekend, I saw it late Monday, and the site while it looks good, has one major issue. That is, the embedded in-page player for the three radio streams does not work. You click the play button and it never starts playing, but says you have...

Re: Yahoo Mail Blocked?

Not seeing issues here. Typically, we've used Yahoo Mail to get something over to the printer from a laptop, and the laptop was on the wireless while the main PC where we needed to print from was the clerk desktop, we simply emailed the document from the sender to the sender, opened Yahoo Mail, and ...

Re: FAQ for Supporting New Youth Curriculum Digital Media

I noted elsewhere that as far as those that cannot be downloaded due to copyright issues, chances are at least some of those are on other DVD sets that were produced some time ago and may still be available. An example I think is 'Those Who are Wise', for the December unit of the youth curriculum, i...
