Uploading Name Problem

I just tried to add a person to a calling in the Leadership Directory and it kept giving me the message to "use only the persons last name." I WAS using only the last name, so I used only the first 3 letters of the name.. That worked... Not sure if this is a temporary glitch or something t...

Alan_Brown wrote:This statement is incorrect. The e-mail address in MLS has absolutely no effect on the LUWS. The e-mail address in LUWS comes only from the user's profile on LUWS.

Thus deleting the e-mail address in MLS will not cause the envelope icon in LUWS to disappear.
There goes my experiment!:)

Email address is in MLS (a second source, other than website registration). If you need to dump the envelope icon, then your Membership Clerk needs to delete it from the MLS membership record. I thought that the envelope icon only showed when the person was registered for the site. I am going to do...

I think the confusing step is where in #2 you say "Click on the news item." Do you mean "Click on the News and Information" link in the left navigation area? If so, then you are simply going to the list of items, not to the actual item. If you tend to have short items, then you ...

When I uploaded the image into a "test" new item all I had to do to view the image was to click on the new item and the image was there. I'm not getting the same result as you are. Maybe I'm missing a step. Here are the steps someone would have to go through to see a photo I have posted i...

Image sizes are limited to 100k when posting in a news item. I just tried the same thing and it worked fine if the size is no larger than this. I used the Import Image feature of the news item and imported the photo, which was around 78k, then saved the news item. No Problem. You are correct, every...

Photos in News and Information

I decided to use a photo to help illustrate a News item and it loaded easily but when you click on the news item on the home page, you do not see the photo. In order to see it, you have to click on "more" at the bottom of the News list and then all you see is a camera icon which you have t...

Using the Admin functions of the local unit web site, you can add as many Resources as you like. The approach suggested above does stretch the meaning of "resource" a bit, since normally the Resource scheduling is used only for physical items such a buildings, ball fields, projectors, ten...

We use a separate resource calendar for YM/YW. It allows the different classes and quorums to put a lot more detail in their calendar items without being worried about filling up the ward calendar. YM and YW secretaries take the items that need ward visibility and submit them to the ward calendar. ...

The policy letter that's been referenced is quite clear to me. "No Other Web Sites". Which leaves no doubt as to what their intent was. I'm a bit surprised that it's even been a subject of discussion. I agree... The letter in addition to "no other web sites," specifically lists ...
