Pardon me if this is stupid, but in MLS, couldn't you just click on the payee box at the top of the list of fast offering payments to get the list sorted by payee, and then scroll down the list to see which names appear once versus ten times. It would be pretty easy to see problems if the list was s...

Wouldn't an application like this breach the request we received recently not to create or promote any unofficial church web sites? Or was that only for ward and stake web sites? I also remember a recent talk in general conference encouraging us to use social networking sites as a missionary tool, s...

As a less relevant side point, when I returned (about six years ago), I was told that all missionaries were required to have tuberculosis testing done. However, I had served in my own country and hadn't gone overseas except for the mtc. I took it to my doctor, and she wrote a rather blunt note on it...

How long is this accelerated update function supposed to have been included? It has been months since I tested it, so I could be mistaken. But it did take days if not weeks to come through in the past. This might just be our office, or it might be that it has improved in the later versions since I l...

Yes, 3.0.1, not 3.1. Sorry. The update for 3.0.2 came through last weekend, but this computer hasn't been updated yet.

Sorry, just found the report you were talking about. My bad. I thought you were referring to the drop down menus, but it was in the normal ones. There is no custom stake clerk position listed in that report. So I guess that means it is recorded correctly.

Just checked, and this custom positions review doesn't exist in the menu you referred to, at least not in version 3.1 of mls with a stake data file loaded. However, I am quite certain I didn't create a custom position for my calling when recording it. I was the first stake clerk called in a newly cr...

I have tried a number of different methods to keep ward data and have settled on using MyWard's ( http://www.shiblon.com/desktop/myward/ ) html output. It uses MLS export data and converts it to html. Do you know if any similar program exists for stake mls data, or if the ward version can be conver...

Thanks for that link. That policy document and discussion seem to very much support the idea that such programs can be installed as long as the stake president is in agreement. However, that brings me back to the original question on how such connections or those from any other program the stake pre...

I understand the principle you are teaching, and appreciate the response. It does however still result in us physically driving to each chapel and watching over shoulders while somebody else does something that would only take us a couple of minutes to do ourselves. Best case scenario would involve ...
