Mac Program

I am in the process of trying to decide if I want to write a iMac genealogy program that is geared toward the LDS community. I have been a programmer for 40 years with VB experience. I am in the process of working with RealBasic to see if I think I can do this project using RB. I would appreciate an...

FamilyInsight

Yes I have tried the pedigree view. I am still in the process of looking at FamilyInsight and it is a great improvement for LDS and the Mac. I have also looked at Reunion and it is a good basic program. It lacks 2 things that I consider a must. 1. The searching of the internet with out having to rei...

FamilyInsight for Mac

I have tried using it but you must use a gedcom so it is still awkward on a Mac. It would really be nice to have it interfaced to something like Reunion.

I like the old site much better than the new one. My comment would be to keep the old..

New Messages

I liked the ability of the old site to click on new messages and just see them. Then I could look at the ones I wanted then mark all messages as read.

I can not find this ability on this site. Maybe I am missing something.

Telephone

Thanks for the links. I looked at both and am somewhat concerned about using a free service. Gizmo had a charge of 35 dollars for a phone number. Grandcentral did not have a charge but I suspect they may have. I applied to reserve a phone number so we will see. Would you suggest either one over Skyp...

Phone

Well after much looking I have about decided to get Skype Pro and Skypein. This appears to be the best deal I can find and it would work on my PC.

Anyone had any experience with this combination that could offer comments or maybe other services that are competitive with Skype?

Thanks
Roger

Telephone Help Needed

I am a FCH work at home missionary. I need help with my phone. What I need is the ability of hooking my mike and earphones to the telephone. My mike and earphone are connected using a USB port. Is there some cheap (free) program that will allow me to use my old modem connected to the phone line as a...

Well after fooling around with it I got it to work like a video DVD with menu's to play the mp3 but it is very time consuming to make it all work. I think I will wait for the new Joseph Smith manual and to that one instead of the Book of Mormon. Roger I haven't been following AV that closely, but I ...
