Does this still happen? There was a bug in MLS several months (maybe a year ago) that didn't send the release info to CDOL. If it is still happening for recent releases I would like to figure that out. I have a similar problem. As Elder's Quorum Secretary I was experimenting with some different way...

music.lds.org infrastructure

lds.org runs on a MarkLogic server. Will the updated version of IMP be served by the same server? If it will be, then we might be able to reuse/repurpose existing XQuery code to put the IMP swf content in the lds.org design and layout. If it won't be hosted by MarkLogic, what are we looking at? What...

Questions

techgurufloyd and techgy, Sorry to be so absent here. The design team has been buried getting the new.lds.org up and running. new.lds.org is great. I really like it. The hard work shows. :) But here we are now. Ask away on any remaining burning questions. I listed 15 questions in my post here: http...

Troubleshooting Privacy Settings

I'll work on the not being authenticated theory. Her husband and son are able to sign in on that machine just fine, so I don't think it's a privacy setting on the computer. Privacy settings are set per user, not per computer. If the husband, the son, and the wife each use different user accounts on...

You are correct when you state that many of the designers of projects do not frequent the forum on a regular basis. The community encourages participation from those at CHQ, but whether they feel they have the time to spend on the forum is entirely up to them. OK. That just means I'll head to a dif...

Is anyone in the know listening?

It seems to me that the people that know anything about the design, either don't use this forum or they use it once in a blue moon. I'm not sure we're going to get responses from the Church employees that are working on this project.

Please, prove me wrong, or please tell me, why the silence?

Missionary

One more thought about the maps and missionaries: I made large maps on my mission and put different colored pins in to denote active members, less-active members, investigators, and potential investigators. I doubt that all of that will be on this map, but that's not the point. I would have loved a ...

Awesome. I love how well it's integrated in the new design. For me, my ward info loads great, however, search doesn't seem to be working for me. If I put in an address and hit search, the spinner goes for a second and then it shows the search box again. I never get a list of the wards assigned (eg t...

As I understand it: Originally they were looking for names like "frosting" to describe the different design elements. Kaleb Tracy suggested that the flag be called Judy. Someone else (who?) suggested the name Betty for the colored bars. Chris Mayfield says he came up with the name Jericho ...

Whether based on the worldly city headed up to Jerusalem or a super-one-click missile - Jericho's a great name. :) Having said that, the menus do follow many of the SOFEA principles. Interestingly that was not entirely intentional up front, but we migrated that direction as we ran into certain probl...
