I also note that these new pc's are coming not with Win7 Professional but rather Win7 Enterprise edition. After the one touch config it requires a ctl+alt+del to logon. To reset the password it states that this feature requires removable media such as a USB flash drive. Again, there were no drives o...

No, we got three new Dell PC's and I uncrated the first to set up as I have the previous 4 in the stake and this one fired up on its own with a windows 7 one touch installation which included setting up this user account DandC89. It is very definitely windows 7. There are other STS's in the area who...

NEW MLS PC password

Does anyone know the password for the MLS pc's that have recently been delivered to stakes by the FM group. There is a one touch Windows install that creates a user account called DandC89 but our FM group does not know the password for that account.

Thank you for the assistance. I will download the Dell 740 instructions and give it a go. I understand MLS support has to flip the switch between the old and new pc's once the new one is loaded and ready to go so this final step must take place during workday hours rather than on the weekend?

New Win7 Computer Installation

Are there any specific instructions for configuring the new Win 7 Dell machines we get to replace the older XP machines? Specifically, is there a prefered naming convention to be used for computer names, and any other specifics to the desktop setup that the church would like us to use or do we just ...

lds.org vs new.lds.org

When the new.lds.org calendar came out it was suggested that we still use the old lds.org site for the official stake and ward calendars for 2011. Now it seems to indicated that lds.org will be shut down at the end of this month and the new.lds.org will be replacing it. Will calendar information fro...

Well, I was told by the local AT&T rep that the only way I could get a seperate bill is to order a new phone line that would not be part of the group that is paid for by the church and then add dsl to that. I guess even if we pulled one line out of the group that is paid by SLC, it would still t...

Seperately billed phone line issue

In our area we can add basic DSL to the existing clerk's line for $21.99 per month with no additional fees or taxes on only a one year commitment. However, if we have to have our own seperate bill (per internet usage policy) we must order another seperate line at the basic rate plus taxes, which mak...
