Re: Ward Calendar and organizations
Not to mention, the Church calendar helps manage locations, too, preventing double-booking. Which is really important if you're having to coordinate building use with another unit. How do you enter a calendar event on the lds tools app? I tried but didn’t see an option in the app or can this only b...

Ward Calendar and organizations
I was tasked to keep a Branch Calendar of all activities going on for the Branch including all of the other organizations activities also. How have you been able to keep track of all activities in one main branch calendar? We thought about using Google Calendar and then merging all the other organiz...

Re: End of year expenses
The Balance Forward category is not accessible by local users for expense or income transactions. It gets added to the 4 quarterly budget allocations, and transfers into Budget Allocations. Once the funds are there the amount can be allocated to any user accessible category. I use the Miscellaneous...

Missionary served in Branch/Ward
Is there a report that shows all the missionaries that have served in the branch or ward? Not members who are returned missionaries within the branch but any missionary that has served in the branch from other wards and branches.

Re: Budget Balance and Carryover
Keep in mind that the ward gets to carry over whatever the stake allows them to. I have seen cases where the stake asked wards to send some of their end-of-year surplus back to the stake. Re: Printer Ink - Reimbursement
Members should not be required to spend their own resources for church expenses. Reimbursing for ink on someone's personal printer, though, can become a sticky situation. If they choose to print from home for convenience I suppose that is their choice. Perhaps they can provide an "invoice"...

Re: Budget Balance and Carryover
Which budget category do you put the rollover money into for the year? Or do you redistribute the rollover money to the organizations? Normally I would not redistribute the rollover money since that inflates each organization's budget each year based on rollover amounts. Unless things have changed,...

Re: Budget Balance and Carryover
We treat the carry over as income along with an estimate of what we think the church/stake will budget for us. Then we do a new allocation to budget categories based on rollover + estimated allocation from the stake for the year. Which budget category do you put the rollover money into for the year...

Re: Sacrament Meeting Attendance
I made an OpenOffice spreadsheet on the clerks computer desktop. I just enter in the count each Sunday and the average for the month is automatically calculated. Would you be willing to share your spreadsheet template? I'm hoping that the new 2020 sacrament attendance can be easily accessible on a ...

Clerk - Duties and Assignments
Does anyone have a training manual they've developed for new clerks or assistant clerks? I know there is a training guide online but looking for a summarized training manual as a template to begin with that someone is willing to share.
