Got it, thanks. Any idea whether it's by design that only the adviser is in the presidency circle and, if so, why?

It would appear as though there is a place holder for a profile photo of the user ... With the rapid development and roll-out of the app it is possible there is continuing development required for many features. As russellhltn indicated the photos most likely will come from the user profile photos ...

Each quorum can have only one adviser. Additional adult leaders are called as specialists.
