I agree. It has been nearly 19 years now since the announcement was originally read in sacrament meeting. We got all of this sorted out in the first year of the new program (1990). Of course, since it has been that long, we have a new generation just beginning to learn the same principles. It may b...

Please note that when a contribution is made, a Tithing and Other Offerings slip must be filled out. Also note the categories on that slip for which donations can be made (I know, those listed are not all inclusive.). ... There is no provision for a budget account deposit. I would take slight excep...

I do not think this issue should be closed. Allowing what ponders posted in the open to this thread to be dismissed as acceptable in any form can have serious consequences for the Church. I would like to take another tack in addressing the issue. Please note that when a contribution is made, a Tithi...

When dealing with an issue such as this the first place to find guidance is in the Church Handbook of Instructions. A quick scan of Chapter 16, Finances, says that both the stake president and the bishop "...ensures that Church funds are never mixed with personal funds." To keep "personal" funds sep...

I have a church building that is on restricted access and we can not access familysearch.org. Can that website be "opened up" on the restricted firewall to allow familysearch.org? If not, we'll need to use the less restricted firewall. According to the Church's definition of LDS Restricted Access t...

Any other ideas as to how to make the other stake's building schedule availble to my unit? Try having one or more of your ward web site administrators added as a non-resident member to one of the wards that meet in the stake building you use for your meetings. This way he will be able to view the r...
