Re: Streaming Zoom Meetings on Church Webcasts

Seems pretty dumb to not use it and refer people to all these other channels. In trying to keep things simple, I think there has been recognition that many are more familiar with the other channels than they are with the Church webcast system. And while it is much better now, some have had poor exp...

Re: Teams Free

... they can either join immediately - using just a web browser - or download the app, create an account, and join that way I participated in my first Teams meeting last week. It was immediately evident that I had been spoiled by Zoom. I clicked on the link (there is no apparent way to type in a me...

Re: Managed switches

Could this be because firmware/configuration updates are happening? Yes. I attended some online training recently, and was told that these switches have been in the box for several months now. When they first connect to the Internet, they phone home for all of the updates they are missing. Dependin...

I like to view the boundry map of the wards in post falls id i dont think the were devided up fairly The post before yours tells you how to access the maps. The stake president would send any recommendations for changes in boundaries to the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve, so you would ne...

Please find attached a summary of some of the principles to be considered when broadcasting sacrament meetings or other virtual church meetings. Thank you for posting this information. Please see this post for the best general information that is publicly available at the moment.

Sorry I could not say more sooner. I believe the FM Groups were in the same pickle until now.

Re: Church Guidelines for Virtual Meeting Technologies

The two primary options seem to me to be Zoom or Google Meet on a laptop at the pulpit and Larix Broadcaster on a smart phone at or near the pulpit. Zoom self distributes if you have fewer than 100 connections, or you can distribute it through the Church webcast system or YouTube Live, etc. Zoom mee...

Re: Retaining sacrament meeting webcasts using MWC

I’ve just scheduled our next Sunday meeting and not only is “Bishopric” (Presiding Authority) now an option, but also Broadcast Type “Ward Sacrament Meeting”. When were these options added? I think the were added on Friday. But if your meetings were scheduled before that time, you would not have se...
