Android Scriptures
I just got my Google Nexus One and tried the Reveal Reader from the Android Market. Wow! That thing is great! It has everything I need. I am impressed!! I've been extremely pleased with Android and specifically the Nexus One so far. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to get my Church text o...

These BYU students are probably excited and enthusiastic for the opportunity, I'm sure they are. I was excited and enthusiastic about my senior project also. I'm sure that these BYU students are smart and motivated... I just think that a project of this magnitude should be reserved for more seasone...

Capstone Project now, eh?
I remember doing a Capstone project prior to graduating from college. I had no trouble finding someone who was eager to have me develop some software for them. I did a half-way decent job on the application and got an A, but I certainly did not do a superb job because I lacked the real-world experie...

I read the same blog and was thinking the same thing. I need to give feedback, but in some ways the current labs are actually less functional on my Droid then LUWS. For example in LUWS I can touch a phone number to dial it. But in labs it gives me a magnified phone number. I can't dial it. You got ...

HTML5 on Mobile Devices
Instead of writing mobile LDS apps that only work for one device or the other, how about just write the application once for ALL devices? Now that makes a lot better sense! HTML5 is the way to go.

That's one of the reasons that the church's version that's under development does not include some of the features found in RaR. What's kind of funny and ironic is that the Church's proposed version doesn't contain a single feature from RaR and RaR contains not a single feature of the Church versio...

Another point to consider is that returnandreport.org only accepts public record information and nothing confidential. I don't know about ymyw.org since I've never used it. I don't think the Church prohibits a group from using a 3rd-party website, but it does seem clear that groups are not allowed t...

It has been stated here several times that the issue that the handbook is trying to address is uploading data from Church systems to 3rd-party websites. Neither ymyw.org or returnandreport.org encourage or require anyone to do this. Also, it was recently brought to light that the functionality of re...
