I recently learned that returnandreport.org will soon have some very nice Android application support. TB wow. I guess I was right. It looks as though they just added a web service so that developers can write applications that will integrate with returnandreport. I'm going to see about taking adva...

Are you populating Ward Roster from the unit website or from MLS? In any case, I think you will see even better tools becoming available in the near future. There is a lot of stuff in the pipeline right now, for this platform and others, from Church developers and others. Once the Church's own mapp...

I have fixed the problem in my applications. PLEASE do not make me go through that again... it was not pleasant. string[] lines starts out as being the screwy format exported with the "Copy To File" option in MLS. At the end, it is in the format as it was before the latest MLS update. Can ...

I don't know what your applications are assuming, but it seems like the new fields would require at least some modification to your application anyway, even if the tab-delimited format had not been broken. If you have written Windows applications, then I would assume that you are in control of the ...

It is a major bug to me and the thousands of people who use the Windows software I have written. This issue causes a major technical support headache for me. While I appreciate Alan's advice, it is not so simple for me to explain it to all the people who are using my apps. They just get frustrated a...

Could someone give me a feel for how long it takes for them to fix major bugs like this? Am I going to have to wait weeks? Months? Years? It would just help me if some level of expectations are set so that I can seek an alternate solution if necessary. I prefer not to waste my time on this if it is ...

It does appear that the "Copy to file" feature (accessible in most reports/lists via Edit > Copy to file or Ctrl+Shift+S) in the MLS 3.1 release is broken. The file that is generated has a CSV extension, but it is a tab-delimited file, with a simple newline (ASCII 10) at the end of each r...

MLS Copy to File totally broken

Guys, this latest MLS that was released this weekend totally screwed up the Copy to File feature. The data isn't in any remotely readable form when I copy it into Excel now. When looking at the file, there are newlines everywhere (after almost every field) and there is some \tX\tX code in there. Can...

Douglas,

I think your Facebook Missionary Challenge is fantastic! I have given the challenge to several members of my ward who have taken it seriously and love it. Great job. By the way, the videos are masterful. What a great way to spread the gospel! I commend you on your great work.

I know I'm bringing up old topics, but is there any newer info on the authorized church web sites letter? newer than that 2004 one? Come on people! Please show some respect. Moderators: Can we please get this policy discussion moved elsewhere. http://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3619 TB
