Side-by-side dual language scripture display app
In our stake, we have a sizable Spanish-language population, plus Lao-speakers, a growing population of Congolese Swahili, and Haitian French. As stake clerk, I observe with great care our translators their work, and our tech clerk has done a bang-up job assembling excellent equipment for the task. ...

Re: The companionship principal
Last audit we were told that both persons making the bank deposit should ride in the same car. Is that policy or opinion? I suppose it's a matter of interpretation... I agree. Your stake president has the authority to interpret the guidance. Likewise, the area auditor may provide direction that int...

Re: Show highlights between languages
Something that would help us when we do translations at our stake conferences would be a way to have side-by-side scriptures in two languages so that finding and following scriptures is easier. Currently, we have one assistant per translator to look up upcoming scriptures (we try to get advance copi...

Re: Can Finance Clerk access tithing declaration in LCR?
Branch counsellors also need access to the declarations. Right now I have a branch president who is in hospital following surgery and I have his counsellor doing the tithing settlement but he can't access the declarations he has to wait for the branch clerk! Sounds like a "acting branch leader...

If you're willing and have the expertise, the fields can be copied and pasted into a regular-expression capable text editor (such as vi or Vim or EditPad [for Windows), then the appropriate magical commands can be performed. I have been able to convert our stake budget details into a CSV file throug...

Re: Video from multi-stake conference
... On April 24, our stake is having a special meeting with Elder Bednar presiding. I asked our new Stake President about recording it. He declined, stating it's "policy". That's too bad, because it would be a great missionary tool to use the comments directed to our stake and take them t...

Re: 12 Active Boundary Proposals
I've noticed a proposal cloning itself and generating a duplicate. In our case, when I deleted the duplicate, the original stayed intact. Fortunately, even if it had deleted both, we weren't very long into the process. Of more concern was a condition where by clicking on "Continue" buttons...

Re: Digital Area Book
There's already the New and Returning Member report, which I'm not sure anybody in our stake is using (I'm the stake clerk). It's only accessible by bishopric or stake presidency members, as far as I can tell, and the people who would fill it out and use its contents (RS/EQ/HP/WML) don't have access...

This problem still exists. My entries, once I re-arrange them, are multiplying like cursed goblets in Gringott's :-(

Re: NOT marking records "Do Not Contact" or DNC
aebrown, are you saying that the current directive is that section of the Handbook, or the 2009 directive? I'm saying that the current policy is in the Handbook 2 Section 5.3 that I quoted, and that the 2009 directive gives us direction on a specific clerical detail regarding that policy. I see no ...
