I just tried going to mls.lds.org and it smoothly forwarded me to the Applications section of ClerkSupport.lds.org. That's what it should do, and what it does (at least for me). Are you seeing something else at this point when you go to mls.lds.org? Yes... an lds.org-branded 404. Apparently you're ...

Yes.... I posted last night when updates were not allowed (I tried, really... logged out, back in... even tried that 'Discussion' (usually called 'Talk') link... nothing was working). I can now make edits as I have in the past and am doing so. This thread, though, was also started to fix other links...

> The old site, mls.lds.org, is inactive. If you use that URL your browser will be redirected to the correct site. I assume this statement, as written, means it will happen at some point in the future, since that definitely does not happen now. > The new site is found in https://www.lds.org/callings...

MLS Download Site Changed
Could somebody update the wiki, and this thread, and the various FAQs online, and whatever else I've missed with the new download site for MLS? The old one has been returning a 404 for over a week and while I found 3.4.3 last Sunday somehow (lucky I guess) now I am having a terrible time finding any...

The update went fairly well for me at the Stake level. A few notes: MLS automatically upgraded to 3.5 after the Send/Receive to send check. Said to exit and restart to apply changes. Did so and nothing happened. Did it again, still nothing. Did another Send/Receive and was again told download had co...

In my opinion it would be far better to allow the family to have the excess missionary contribution transferred to tithing or fast offering. This would still allow the family to benefit from the extra contribution, without involving other members in the process. How would that work with the example...

There are some lengthy threads on the backup time issue already: https://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?7864-MLS-Backup-file-size-growing In your case backup the file once (to the hard drive) and then just copy (right-click Copy) it to your external drive. The copy/paste should take about three s...

I'm glad to see the new 91-179 day old check counts. That will help me really know how bad things are for the ward I get to nag. ;-) Here's a FAQ from questions I've already received: Why did the bank refuse my check? Checks over six months old are sent to the state of the member's residence per Uni...

I've seen the same thing intermittently, and one time it happened with three consecutive dialog boxes (all during the same send/receive). In my case the 'X' in the corner of that dialog box has made that go away happily, vs. forcefully killing MLS (yikes!). Hopefully that will help you (or others in...

lajackson, Today I noticed our computer had renamed itself to the number of a test ward (coincidentally somebody had been in MLS in the test ward recently). It appears computers servicing multiple real (or test) units may be doing a lot of renaming as MLS is used for those different units. Not sure ...
