Doesn't seem like a finance question, but if you go to Reports/Forms and run a Custom report you can then click 'Save to File' which saves to CSV which is importable into any spreadsheet program. Also page A-6 of the MLS documentation (within MLS.. Help: Help) mentions exporting data from MLS to a C...

Part of me hopes you are joking... Yes, thus the following paragraph's introduction of 'On a more serious note....'. I cannot imagine that level of sadism in a clerk, but I'm pretty naive. Makes me wonder, though, why was it never possible to get a separate receipt? I suppose there could be cases w...

Or try starting MLS from the command line. Messages during startup will go to the shell and you can paste them here if they do not give you any good ideas. There's also an mlslog.txt file in your instance's data directory (search for it if nothing else): cd \ dir /s mlslog.txt The contents may give ...

Historically we've just glared at them and made them buy us one dozen cookies per non-reimbursable item on the receipt (for which they cannot get a reimbursement, since it's a bribe) and then they don't do it again. On a more serious note, the form which we push out (before purchases happen) is very...

While I've never run into it, I've heard people joke about buying things for something Church-related and then, rather than submitting expenses (or only submitting some of the expenses), they tease about deducting the amount from their tithing, etc. The math may SEEM to work out properly for everybo...

I heard that a couple of our wards had similar issues and before I could investigate they'd installed Firefox or Chrome and moved on. If nothing else, that's an easy workaround.

Legally? No, I think the other recent threads on this explain that there is no requirement for charitable orgs to send these out automatically at all. Is the Church's rule to have them all out by 2012-01-31? Yes: http://tech.lds.org/wiki/Donor_Statements The Official Tax Statement should be delivere...

No groups in MLS. Cut eleven checks, or attribute all of it to a smaller set of people. This would, in my opinion, only be correct IF the $500 applied to a smaller set of people, for example if the Sub for Santa funds (before being depleted) had been used to pay entirely for some (x) of those famili...
