This is great news. I'm also subscribed to the unofficial (so far) private channel. Since this channel will become the official channel I have some feedback for the content. I like how the content is organized into different categories and subcategories. This helps when browsing for interesting mate...

Clear the temp directory (delete all the files %temp%) and do the update again. Sometimes a file that is downloaded is corrupt which then plays havoc with the install. If that fails you may have to do a clean install of Sophos. That would involve uninstalling Sophos (both the firewall and the anti-...

We use netflix on the wii on one tv and have a Roku connected to the second tv. We also have the ability to connect a laptop to either tv, but that is not ideal.

I'm not seeing a project for the LDS Channel for Roku in the available projects list. Is this a project you need testers for? If so I'd love to test and give feedback.

As a new Roku owner, I want to put my vote in for this as well. Before the next General Conference would be ideal :)

I vote to also include the Legacy podcasts http://feeds.lds.org/LDSLegacy
to the channel. Also the Joseph Smith Papers would also be great.

Protected Records

I have a reverse situation in my ward where a record came into the ward and when she was visited by her newly assigned hometeacher, she requested her information be deleted, because her exhusband keeps finding her via the church records and threatens her. Do I need to send a Special Request throught...

Just to clarify, you are not talking about the Church website. Rather, you are talking about the Church-managed firewall. I would also note that there is no problem with the General Access filtering level, but only with the LDS Extended Access filtering level (at least that is what I gather from pr...

Pretty much everything related to Google is now blocked on the church website. I can't even log in to Gmail to retrieve e-mail anymore. I guess I need to create yet another e-mail account so that I can get to my e-mail from the church computer since Google seems to be blocked at least every other mo...

missionary fund balance report for families

I was recently asked to give a family a balance sheet for their missionary's fund. This was no problem except the report included donations with names of other members of the ward who had donated. My understanding is that the donations of other members is confidential, so I used a marker to redact t...

update: it works now

Since I started the thread I figured I'd report back that Google Docs is no longer blocked. We didn't even change the access level and are still using 'Extended Access'. Apparantly enough people needed it that they made the change higher up. Thanks to everyone that contributed.
