Re: Unofficial guide for YouTube Live - Part 5: Invite Others to Assist / Stream Keys
You're not yet at the "how to use the stream key portion", but just two tidbits that I ran into: 1) In OBS, if you leave a trailing space after the stream key, OBS won't work. I used to use the same exact method you described, a spreadsheet where they could just copy and paste in their str...

Re: Camera Suggestions
If you want an all-in-one solution, Mevo is probably the way to go. If you want something that gives you future options, consider a PTZ camera and a laptop with OBS. PTZ cameras have come down in price these past few months. OBS has a new plugin that is being constantly updated that lets you control...

Re: Is Zoom the best they could come up with?
Zoom doesn't "fix" up the audio, it just sends it out. No, but it does apply a digital codec that was intended for speech, not music. The result can be like listening to music on hold while on a cell phone. That's why there's the "original audio" option. Ah, that's good to know....

Re: Is Zoom the best they could come up with?
I am sorry, but as someone that prides myself on my broadcast quality, albeit just Sacrament meeting, and our bi-annual Stake Conference, I can't possibly think that Zoom is the best option. I can think of one top reason why Zoom is the best option: Ease of broadcasting. This is by far Zoom's best ...

Re: Sunday MLS/phone support
Others on the forum have successfully copied all the necessary files from one computer to another, without needing to contact the GSC. However I’ve never been successful with doing that. :( I’ve changed over quite a few clerk computer’s in the last few years and have made a simple call, as the TS, ...

Re: Sunday MLS/phone support
Yes, I'm a stake technology specialist. Just to confirm, if I'm in a ward clerk's computer as an administrator, then I can get the entire security token reset process working on my own? It would be ideal to deliver a new fully working clerk computer without needing to schedule a face-to-face meeting.

Re: Sunday MLS/phone support
So should my process work like so? * Inform the ward I'm going to upgrade their computer that week. Before they can use their MLS again on a new computer, a bishopric member must use MLS to unlock it. * On a weekday, I pick up the old computer from a ward clerk office. I then copy all the files they...

Re: Sunday MLS/phone support
Biggles, can you explain further? I assumed I needed the following: * A member of the bishopric to use a password to unlock finances * A functioning computer with MLS installed * Contact someone at church support to run the token reset. I always thought all three of those must occur simultaneously. ...

Re: Sunday MLS/phone support
I know support is limited on Sunday. There is evening support on a number of week nights. The limited Sunday support may be able to reset the security token, but may not be able to do much technical support. Ya, that's all I need, a token reset. I've done it Sunday afternoons, but finding the right...
