Sunday MLS/phone support
I could use some assistance here with Sunday support processes. I need to upgrade various ward computers, but it's difficult to do it during a work week on business hours. Monday-Friday we can't just easily find time when tech assistant is open and a bishopric is open during business hours. Saturday...

Re: Any suggstions for a stable portable camera mount?
Have you considered using the device for the hard of hearing as an audio input? That's what we use. It includes the organ and all microphone inputs in the chapel. You may need the crab box to patch it to the camera or the PC depending on equipment configuration. -- Larry Autry Yes, it was awful for...

Re: Bishops / Ward Specialists want permanent camera solution - what do I do?
Based on the comments here, I'm curious if others have received permission to have a camera installed permanently. If so, what cameras are you using (make and model)? See this thread. https://tech.churchofjesuschrist.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39696 Some of us either aren't or can't mount cameras. S...

This mic stand seems like a great fit:

I think this adapter will also do the trick:

Huh, I hadn't considered microphone stands at all. That's a really good idea.

Any suggstions for a stable portable camera mount?
That headline suggests "get a tripod", but hear me out. We're ready to implement a permanent solution for our stake, and we've got it all figured out except the camera mount. We're stuck on this. We've got old buildings, so the only permanent solution which works with cords is the chapel's...

Re: Webcast end of life question.
I think the biggest challenge of keeping the Teredek is finding a mechanism to turn off the camera video and audio if the sacrament is mid meeting (many stakes have started transitioning back to that in the last month or two). I haven't heard many good options how to handle this. My favorite low-te...

Re: Webcast end of life question.
For those who have an existing hardware AV setup in place, and they want minimal changes, I'd recommend YouTube + OBS. If I'm not mistaken, the Teradek and YouTube are perfectly happy with each other. OBS gives you more control and options, but you'd need to add a computer to run it. Oh yes, you're...

Re: Webcast end of life question.
It would be great if the Church Webcast Department could post some simple instructions for options. We have old analog systems in our Stake Center and it isn't so easy to capture audio and video from the mounted camera into a computer to send out to Zoom. I am not an AV expert by any means and coul...

Just a reminder that many of these Zoom vs YouTube vs other options have been discussed here: viewforum.php?f=27
