Re: Church Webcasts using OBS
I have used this $12 HDMI to USB Capture Adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089RXBHWN/ to get camera's HDMI output into OBS. We use that same one in three buildings. They're great with one glitch. It introduces roughly a 125 ms delay between audio and video. This is easily fixable in OBS. I...

Re: Automating OBS with the Webcast Portal
I am having an issue hooking the church audio into the computer. My computer does not have a line in...it has a headphone jack which I think I can use as an audio in. Is anyone else having issues getting audio from the church mics? I've used multiple laptops on our building's 3.5mm out. It's really...

Re: All our church webcasts were down this morning at 9 AM
Out of curiosity, when were those events scheduled? Where they all done while MDT was in effect? For all, it would be good to verify what time zone was selected. I created all of them Sunday the 25th in the evening. The timezone was whatever the default was for "Mountain Time (US & Canada)...

Re: Church Webcasts using OBS
Just passing along a few weeks of OBS experience: While we use the tool in 7 wards, it has some small glitches that make it unsuitable for individuals who aren't familiar with technology. Specifically: * If a USB camera somehow loses a connection (such as an unplugged cable), you have to restart OBS...

Re: Church Webcast - Weekly Recurring Event & Other Updates
How do recurring events handle attendance? I found out my own answer. They don't handle attendance at all. The recurring event stays "up top" and nothing moves to the "completed events". That attendance info with names is vital to our bishoprics. For this reason, recurring event...

Yes, MST. Servers were on US West.Mikerowaved wrote:Just so we're on the same page, are you referring to Mountain Time or somewhere else?bradpeterson@gmail.com wrote:This morning between 8:30- 9:05 AM (and possibly earlier than 8:30), nobody could connect to the RTMP servers.

Re: All our church webcasts were down this morning at 9 AM
Someone else reported that the staging didn't happen. That is, the server wasn't available until the event start time. Speculation is it was due to daylight saving change last night. That may make sense. We saw the message change from something about "host not found" to a "can't conn...

All our church webcasts were down this morning at 9 AM
This morning between 8:30- 9:05 AM (and possibly earlier than 8:30), nobody could connect to the RTMP servers. It was an immediate rejection, that the host name wasn't valid (we use OBS which told us). Even when I created another broadcast, I couldn't connect to that either. This affected 3 of our s...
