If it is designed to work with Windows 7 and 64 bit windows can run 32 bit software I hope it might work. I am thinking of using an existing 64bit computer as a test to try installing Landesk and seeing if it works.

The two computers that are already there don't actually have Landesk installed but if I were to do things cleanly I was going to install it. The computers are ex-home computers running Windows XP home. If the new computers run the same way then they will be really just web terminals, in which case t...

I am now able to see the Leader Portal but I don't see much of anything in there. No Wards, no leaders just some global statistics and that is it (as well as some training materials and policy and Handbook 2). Is this normal? What would a Stake Technology Specialist be expected to see?

64bit Support for Landesk and FHC suite of applications.

I am in the process of replacing some dated, donated computers in our family history centre. I have got a pack of OEM Licences for Windows 7 business to go on the computers I am building but I opted to go with the 64bit version due to it being potentially more future proof and the computers having 4...

When using LDS maps, selecting a Ward or Stake includes a link to a "Website". Are these links provided to link to classing Ward and Stake websites? If so will these links be done away with in the future or will something else relevant be linked via these provided links instead?

It looks like the classic websites are something different which has been replaced but I cannot find an obvious sub forum which covers the new Ward and Stake sites.

Activating Stake and Ward Websites

I have been experimenting with the capabilities of LDS maps and noticed the links to the Ward and Stake websites. The Ward and Stake websites are not activated. As I am Stake Technology Specialist I wonder if I should be requesting them to be activated and if I do, what information should be on them...

I heard that a number of years back the number of building keys in use by the Church was reduced. There was concern that too many people had keys and that some of them were not reliable and did not lock up buildings properly leading to burglary. It turns out that we did have a Stake Technology Speci...

I think for my part given that I already have enough on my plate without having to also look after Stake technology meaning that when it comes to fixing something, finding a slot in and amongst may be hard enough as it is. Having to add to that complexity also having to arrange to pick up a key or b...

I am also sorry if my tone is not as positive as it could be but I am encountering amount of frustrating problems in my calling. Part of me wonders if the Stake Presidency do not want me to have a key because they do not trust me. I could argue that given the responsibilities and levels of access a ...
