Re: Donations from ward fund raisers

We've started having youth fundraisers (for various reasons) and wonder generally how others record the income. Do you associate direct donations (not tied to a meal, item, or service) with individuals or as lump sum 'fundraiser income'? Do you associate income from items or services (e.g., dinners,...

Re: Expiration of Member Record, no baptism?

As the handbook indicates, actions regarding such records fall to the Bishop and Stake President. However, my experience has been that conditions associated with these individuals progress tend to be quite sensitive, or at least are perceived to be. My bishops tended to move on to other matters as s...

register phone number in LDS Account

In trying to get something else done I went to my LDS Account and found my phone number apparently isn't registered for account recovery. The problem appeared when trying to register my phone. After adding my country and phone number I was asked to enter the verification code that was promptly texte...

Re: e-mail from another stake

From a quick review of the message detail it appears to have been distributed through a Church e-mail service. If my record wasn't where it's supposed to be I'd discover it quickly because I'm frequently dealing with membership changes on-line. I'd lose access rights. However, I've come across some ...

e-mail from another stake

A couple days ago I received an unsolicited e-mail from a ward in another stake nearby about local food donations pick-up. Finally getting around to checking it out, I can verify that the information about the Bishop that apparently sent the information is current and accurate. History - Since movin...

Re: Subscription Email

Something is different (fixed). No extra password requirement and can now tweak all settings. Never had to make sense of phpBB before, just tried to keep up on Forum conversations and offer input regarding questions and concerns. I'll wait and see about getting Forum update notifications. At least o...

Re: Print-happy MLS

Shredding membership stuff that reaches back to 1990 develops a repetitive motion skill you may not use much. An option is to take advantage of a local bank's offering of annual document shredding for their customers. Our ward has enough turnover and returns that I keep about 3 years worth of transa...

Re: Subscription Email

I'm also struggling with following LDSTech Forums using the relatively new system. I used to get what could be called digest e-mail notifying of new message postings and new Forum topics. Suddenly a few messages simply reported that a topic I was following had been updated and no more messages would...

Re: Insuring that ordinations are recorded

I've tried keeping lists, which can be a reliable tool for some Bishops but not all. I've moved to printing interview forms as soon as I hear that an ordinance is pending. The forms go on the Bishops desk, and most times I get them back with the information needed. I prefer to have a certificate rea...
