800 numbers

Has anyone put together a list of LUS(local unit support) phone numbers where they now go. The number I have been calling for the last decade is suddenly for checking on checks. It will still get me other places as I can always get assistance and have them route me the right place. But it would be b...

Re: Ward Maps

You can also order the maps through the church map department but they would rather you simply printed them from CDOL. They will try and talk you through doing that first. Now those maps show very little detail. If you need maps with more detail you will have to go the long way and create them throu...

Re: Statistics of Pictures in LDS Tools

You probably need to count manually if you want numbers that mean something. Remember there is a family photo and individual photos and some people are doing 1 or the other. So a husband and wife might have 1,2, or 3 photos listed. To know how many adults have pictures up you probably need to count ...

Re: received record with incorrect address

Why? Church headquarters will wait a month or 2 and ship it back to you.(learned the hard way early) Yes, they've started doing that since 2013. I have to wonder how successful that's been. The actually must have started it earlier because I got my first records back in late 2011 or early 2012. Bec...

Re: received record with incorrect address

Back when I took over as clerk we had 2 or 3 dozen families in the ward who's records had been moved in that way. I tried to be sure on my watch it never happened with outgoing records. If that means we sit on records who we know are elsewhere for a decade, oh well. I would not wait a decade. If I ...

FIR

Since I can't find a site for suggestions for the FIR site I am putting this suggestion here as well as submitting it as feedback on LDS.org It would be nice if certain people could be set as default in the "other emails" emails section of the report. My bishop likes to be notified so I en...

Re: Changing meeting house address on the Raymond 3rd Ward Directory

Once they have done it you may still have to change the address in MLS and CDOL to get it correct everywhere. Certain changes do not propagate through the data bases. I would check with FM. Once they are done check maps and check CDOL to see if the corrections made it through the system.

Re: Meeting Counts

I have never been asked for an offical count of general conference stuff.(over a decade tending broadcast stuff) Likely we are not far from removing the satellite stuff from most wards and stake centers. In most places it is an unnecessary expense. Mostly I am alone in the building during general co...

Re: received record with incorrect address

Unless LCR has gotten better recently you can still beat it a number of ways and send a bad address on. I haven't tried recently but surely the old tricks still happen. Under old MLS you could override and send it one with no address or the most common other answers were to repeat the town and state...

Re: Companionship Principles and Bank Deposits

Ideally it should be one car to the bank and they should not be apart. In our case though the stake president has given special permission for 2 cars. The reasons is because the church is a long distance out of town between 2 towns. While companionship principle could be managed it would take seriou...
