Yes, this is possible. The option to ignore identified warnings or errors on the Membership Record Validation Report seems to be specific to the unit. By this I mean that a ward can ignore a certain set of issues, and the stake can choose to ignore an entirely different set of issues for that ward....

Information from ward MLS to stake MLS definitely comes only via Send/Receive, and only via CHQ -- there is no mechanism for wards communicating with the stake except through CHQ. Membership information goes to the central membership database, and then back to the stake; other information must be g...

Updating ward information on stake computer

I am a stake membership clerk. I recently accessed the Membership Record Validation Report on the stake computer. It seemed that some of the wards had not been making needed corrections. Feedback from some of the ward membership clerks indicates significant differences between the data on the ward c...

I provided step-by-step instructions to the clerk on how to move records out when the new unit and address is known. He had not been entering the new unit nor the member's address since he had never dealt with a move out in this manner. So now I think the records will be sent to the correct ward wi...

GEO Codes

I've been attempting to work with the built-in GEO Codes fields in MLS and figuring out what to put in there. This can be a daunting task, and has resulted in a short crash course on different types of mapping and ideas that others have used to GEO Code their Ward or Stake. I have come to the concl...

Okay, this is my first time doing tithing settlements and I wanted to get some points how to effectively set this up to maximize the number of participants. I plan on printing Tithing Settlements and reviewing IOS reports with members as well.. . Members of the ward are to have the opportunity to r...

From my understanding the member can review the membership record with the Bishop or Clerk but can not keep the membership record. A few years ago I asked the same question from church headquarters and they told me about the membership record containing sensitive information. I guess we are in a wa...

I agree wholeheartedly, but this was not my question. I am not asking about retention of the Membership Record Transaction Report, Individual Ordinance Summaries (IOS), or the transaction confirmation report from CHQ. I am asking about membership records only. More precise wording would be along th...

znauga, I'm trying to think of what could be the trigger for the corruption. Any possibility that the corruption is happening when the member's marriage is acknowledged by SLC? Are you recording the marriage and creating the non-member at the same time or are you just creating the non-member record...
