Re: Short Throw Projector Suggestions

In our stake center, there is an acoustic cloud feature in the center of the room along the ceiling, we hid a 5000 lumen short throw Epson projector in there, It is able to project onto the back wall (slanted wall designed for projecting from the pulpit) and FILLS it entirely from side to side. The...

Re: 2-way conferencing for remote island

Thank you danpass!! Actually on the Vidyo client computer, we set the resolution in the software to 720p and it sees the video perfectly now. (I was also recommended the Decimator device as well, but found a way around it.) For my other devices that want to input as 1080p, they are fed into my matri...

2-way conferencing for remote island

In my stake we have a remote branch that is located on an island (only transit on/off is via ferry), sometimes the stake holds meetings that they physically cannot come to due to the ferry schedule. We have been doing just one-way broadcast to the island, my stake president has asked me to look into...

I am not sure if that would make a difference, the audit instructions state what address the auditor is to go to. I am thinking this might be a problem on the Meraki firewall.

Re: filter.lds.org being blocked

This is of particular concern during ward audits, as that is a step in the audit. At my stake center when the stake auditor tried that and got the blocked website message, he came and got me. I took a look at it. Told him I would look into it. He asked what he should check, I told him that the filte...

filter.lds.org being blocked

For some reason, over the past 2 days in 2 different buildings I have been unable to access filter.lds.org. Instead of the friendly check mark or X, I get the message that the website is being blocked.

Ummmm..... why?

Re: Sale of stake purchased technology

This may be more of a finance issue. As long as the stake paid for the equipment, personally, I don't see a problem with them selling it and recouping any remaining value. I'm not sure what the concern about being an "agent for the church" is. In this case, it would seem to me that you're...

Sale of stake purchased technology

I have an interesting question. We have upgraded technology in our stake center, and the devices that we are upgrading still have plenty of usable life in them, they just no longer function for our needs. I am looking to try and re-coup money from upgrades, but I am failing to see how best to do thi...

Re: two way stake conference

Q&A panels are always difficult to pull off with remote participants, and personally I don't find them very engaging. (But that is my personal opinion.) My situation was when someone was reporting on something (an assigned time period), I guess we would have to set up PVC, that maybe the only wa...
