two way stake conference

So we have been doing quite a few stake conference broadcasts and they have been working well. However I had the question formulated to me by one of our remote branches (that has to take a ferry to us to come to conference, and is unable to make the early morning priesthood session due to the ferry ...

Re: Chromecast not connecting to the internet

In our buildings, something that has been done that works for Google printing and others is we have an additional router beyond the firewall. (Path is Internet -> Firewall -> Router), for some reason things like chromecast and Google print now function. They are still subject to the filtering from t...

Re: Dissolved wards, funds stuck in limbo

I spoke to the stake finance clerk, I was brought into this situation late, and everything has since been resolved. The new unit was just not yet informed. Some days, some callings, feel like I am herding cats. (And I wish I was referring to the primary.)

Re: Audio Splitter for podium

(Fun fact, the sound system amplifiers are always powered on in the building, the button at the pulpit control pedestal just turns off the output to the speakers.) Depends on the install. I think the ones I've seen will power up the rack if either the chapel or cultural hall systems are turned on. ...

Re: Audio Splitter for podium

It is a TOA mixer/amplifier. Similiar to what the buildings use.

Re: Audio Splitter for podium

As long as the added mixer doesn't become a problem (not powered up, someone turned off the podium input, etc.) The important thing is that your FM group is OK with it. Doing it without that their OK will create problems down the road. I understand your concerns, it has been running just fine (*kno...

Re: Audio Splitter for podium

What I did in my stake center (with the blessing of my facility manager), is I rerouted the pulpit microphone to another mixer. Plugged into that mixer a wireless microphone system (that is permanent in the chapel), added inputs for 3.5mm audio from key locations in the chapel (pulpit, stake clerk ...

Dissolved wards, funds stuck in limbo

Two weeks ago our stake did some boundary changes for all of the wards, and dissolved 2 wards. Problem is one of the those wards had some checks outstanding that need voided, funds set aside for a specific person to go on a mission, and a few other things. Unfortunately for this ward, they did not g...

Re: Upgraded network causes wifi to stop working

Currently the connection speed is 15Mbps down and 3Mbps up, we have on average 300-350 connections on Sunday due to being a stake center and 3 wards meeting.
