Install new image

Okay, my family history center is currently closed for remodel (which it has been needing for a while, but that is a topic for another post   :D :D ) As such all of the computers are disconnected from the church network and being stored offsite (at my home) until they are ready for the...

Re: Streaming at home via YouTube

I have a remote site that is on an island and until about 2 months ago was stuck at 1.5mbps download, after an unfortunately incident with their modem, I discovered that they can (and now are) receiving internet at 10 mbps. So that means I could transmit a high-quality stream to them. I need a litt...

Re: Streaming at home via YouTube

So I received the new Teradek VidiU box today, and have been reading up more on it. I think I may agree with utilizing YouTube as the broadcast engine. However how did you do this altogether. With the church firewall blocking Youtube, how does one view the stream at the remote sites? I have a remote...

Re: Networked PTZ Camera with

And even more annoying is during rain storms (which usually happen a lot in western Washington) the ground for the building goes weird and some of the mariachi music makes it into the system regardless of what we do. Interesting. I can only guess you have more than one ground rod and it's causing t...

Open Office and Deep Freeze

I know Open Office likes to update things quite frequently, will this cause problems when I install Deep Freeze? I am starting the re-image process on one computer thus far and the FHC Directors wish to have the systems locked down so no changes could be made. Someone mentioned Deep Freeze, and now ...

Re: Windows 7 Image

Nevermind. I simply took the machine to my stake center and plugged it in to the Cisco Firewall and downloaded the files there. We have a 15mb connection and it took care of it in about 3 hours.

Re: Windows 7 Image

I think this is the page you're looking for: https://www.lds.org/help/support/local-computer-images?lang=eng Unless I'm mistaken the OP is looking for the W7 Enterprise image for FHC purposes, not the W7 image for Clerk computers. The W7 image (10.7Gb) for FHC's can only be downloaded, in an author...

Re: Networked PTZ Camera with

And I thought I had problems with RFI. We used to have the Omega station whose tones would get into most audio equipment. Our city had TV/FM transmitters IN the city. Much of that's gone away now, but I don't think I ever had it as bad as you've got it. The really annoying thing is if ANYTHING in t...

Re: Networked PTZ Camera with

I hope you let them know this is unusual. I'm concerned that some GAs get a false idea of what a normal stake's capability is. That makes it harder for the rest of us when we stick to "church standard". I hope they see how wonderful it is, and work to make a simpler version at least optio...

Re: Networked PTZ Camera with

In response to the private message sent to me from Hagothsen. Would you please share your network topology and general AV setup with me? We have for our main cameras 2 PTZOptics 20X-SDI cameras one of which is mounted center rear of chapel on an adjustable pole (adjustable by removing/adding varying...
