This is not a spam filter issue. In my case, ALL of the emails either go through, or don't. If it were a spam filter issue, certain individuals would receive the email, and others wouldn't. I'm on gmail, same as Techgy, and our results are different. There is a bug in the email broadcast code. Has a...

XML files for scriptures?

I'm wondering if the Church maintains an XML file of the scriptures that could be used for third party scripture applications. I am wondering this because I am considering writing a program for the new Android mobile phone operating system. I know there are some LDS scripture applications for other ...

Google Calendar Integration

Just curious if the Church IT has ever thought about integrating google calendar for the ward/stake websites.

Does anyone know if there is a way to load a ward calendar into a google calendar and have it automatically update when someone makes a change (versus just a manual import)?

I spent some time tonight trying some different things to see if I could pinpoint what was happening with this problem. Here's the report: I created a test email with the following content: Dear Ward, This is a generic message that I am making up to test the ward email broadcast system. Thank you, -...

While discussing your problem here is certainly permitted, and it's possible that someone else may have experienced the same problem, I would also suggest that you take some more direct steps. The normal procedure would be to contact your STS (Stake Technology Specialist) for some help. Although th...

Wow. I just tried to send an email using the ward system, and AGAIN I got a receipt saying it was sent, but it was not sent. I'm very tempted to bag the church website system and resort to using google groups or something for our ward. I know it's not too great for policy compliance, but if the chur...

I agree that this would be frustrating. Have you ever been successful in sending an Email in the same manner? Have you recently changed your own Email account? The reason I ask about your own account is that I've seen one instance with myself where the Email domain that I was using was being refuse...

Can you provide a little more information regarding your experience. I assume that were sending this as a ward administrator -?? Did you ever receive any responses indicating that any of the Emails were refused? Any other details that you can provide might be helpful. This has happened to me multip...

Broadcast Email Is Unreliable

Ok, as much as I appreciate those trying to improve the ward email system, it's unreliable. Last night I had to send out a last minute email to our ward. I typed it up, sent it, and got a "confirmation" message sent back to me saying that my email had been delivered to the addresses listed...

Update leadeship directory automatically from MLS

One thing that I find odd is that the leadership directory in the ward website system requires manual updating. Is there any reason why this information can not just be pulled from MLS? Having to store the same exact information manually in more than one place usually leads to discrepancies, errors,...
